In Hamlet 9 Dong Cuong, Khanh Cuong Commune (Yen Khanh), people sadly told about the situation of 5 children in a family with very special circumstances. The 5 children, the oldest is 12 years old, the youngest is only 4 years old, are the children of Mr. Nguyen Van Duc and Ms. Do Thi Loan. But Mr. Duc has been away for many years and has not returned, his wife is not mentally sound, often leaves home. The 5 children are both sent to their maternal grandparents and their grandmother to look after. But their grandmother recently passed away from a serious illness, and their mother brought them back to live in their grandmother's house.
Faced with the difficult circumstances of the five children, philanthropists and volunteer clubs in the area gathered, connected resources and through the bridge of the Yen Khanh District Red Cross Society, donated a total of over 250 million VND to the children. This meaningful amount of money became a solid foundation for the children to confidently go to school and overcome the immediate difficulties. The money from the philanthropists was given to the guardians, under the supervision of the local authorities.
In addition, the local government also assigned the Women's Union, the Village Front Committee, the medical station... to encourage and advise Ms. Loan on how to raise healthy children, and how to raise poultry to improve her quality of life...
230 million VND is also a large sum of money from the generosity of individuals, organizations, volunteer clubs, and the Provincial Red Cross Society, donated to the family of Do Huy Hoang in Ben Xanh hamlet, Khanh Thien commune (Yen Khanh). Hoang unfortunately had an accident. Difficult economic circumstances made Hoang's treatment and recovery process more difficult. Therefore, the funding provided by benefactors has brought hope to Hoang's family.
Propagating and mobilizing organizations, individuals and businesses to support especially disadvantaged humanitarian addresses is one of the key activities that the Yen Khanh District Red Cross has always carried out effectively in recent times. These charitable activities have connected philanthropists and volunteer clubs to join hands to share difficulties with the disadvantaged.
