* Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Chairman of Nha Trang City Veterans Association: Proud of the glorious historical journey of the nation
Although I did not directly participate in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, for me, each anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is always a special milestone. This year, when our country celebrates the 50th anniversary of the great victory, my heart is filled with indescribable emotions. It is pride, faith and reflection on a difficult but extremely glorious historical journey of the nation.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung. |
The Ho Chi Minh Campaign, to me, is not only a historical event, but also a symbol of the indomitable will, solidarity and aspiration for independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people. Witnessing the development of the country and the changes in my homeland after 50 years, I appreciate even more the sacrifices of previous generations.
This important anniversary not only recalls the heroic memories of a time of arduous fighting, but also reminds us of the responsibility of the cadres and members of the veteran association in peacetime. With their position and role, each veteran is not only a soldier of the past, but also a shining example for today's young generation to follow. With enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, the cadres and members of the veteran association of Nha Trang City will continue to actively propagate and educate the young generation about the tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, about the silent sacrifices of previous generations, thereby arousing patriotism, national pride and the will to rise up to build the country increasingly prosperous...

* Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Mai - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education: Full of emotion when hearing the news of victory
During the historic days of April, I was filled with emotions as strong as when I was 17 years old, speechless and overwhelmed when I heard the news of victory on the radio. It was an emotion, an intense pride, an indescribable pride in the extraordinary, great strength of the Vietnamese people.
Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Mai. |
After the country's reunification, my hometown Ninh Hoa town was filled with new vitality. Everywhere there were vibrant youth movements, agricultural cooperatives were established, and my family was granted land for production. We were extremely proud and happy to live in peace, independence, and freedom. I joined the youth volunteer force, contributing a small part to the construction of a new economy, and then continued to study, work, contribute, and mature. Over the past 50 years, my hometown in particular and the whole country in general have changed day by day, everywhere is bustling with the spirit of building new rural areas, building civilized urban areas, people's lives are increasingly improved, social security is guaranteed... All thanks to the great contributions of the Party and Uncle Ho, the result of the strong will and solidarity of the entire Vietnamese army and people. I believe that, with that spirit, our country will continue to develop strongly and prosperously in the new era - the era of national growth.

* Mr. Mau Hong Niem - a prestigious person in Co Lac village (Son Binh commune, Khanh Son district): The lives of ethnic minorities are increasingly improving.
I am proud to be a child of the Raglai ethnic group, born and raised in the revolutionary base of Khanh Son. Before 1975, I joined the Son Binh commune guerrillas and still remember clearly the moment when the Raglai ethnic minority people in Khanh Son burst into joy on the historic day of April 30, when the South was completely liberated and the country was unified.
Mr. Mau Hong Niem. |
After 50 years of national liberation, the lives of ethnic minorities in Khanh Son mountainous district have changed significantly. From a lack of food and clothing, many households now have food and savings, and many ethnic minority households have become good examples of production and business, with incomes of hundreds of millions of dong, even billions of dong. My family also has a better life thanks to growing durian. In recent years, the Party and the State have paid special attention to the lives of people in the ethnic minority region by investing in many traffic works to the people's production gardens; children can study in spacious schools; the elderly and sick are cared for at health stations; households with housing difficulties are supported by the State to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and have electricity and water. Not only that, the good cultural traditions of the Raglai ethnic minority are preserved and promoted.
Recently, ethnic minorities in Son Binh commune have become more excited and proud when the commune has been recognized as meeting new rural standards. Khanh Son district has also been recognized by the Prime Minister as escaping from poverty. These are great supports for ethnic minorities in the mountainous district of Khanh Son to firmly believe in the Party, unite, strive to build a new life, so that prosperity and happiness are present in every family and the homeland becomes more and more beautiful.

* Mr. Hoang Luu - retired cadre in Phuoc Long ward, Nha Trang city: Grateful for the past, looking towards the future
The great victory in the spring of 1975 was the result of wise leadership, and also a great spiritual motivation for the Party to continue the correct path, leading the entire people to build and defend the Fatherland in the new situation. In fact, 50 years after the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, Vietnam's position in the international arena has been increasingly raised, the country is increasingly developing, and the people are increasingly prosperous. Currently, the Party is implementing the policy of continuing to innovate, streamlining the organization and apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient. In the current development trend, the above policy is completely correct. I believe that the Party will persevere in the policy of innovation, proactiveness, creativity, in accordance with the country's reality and the inevitable development trend of the times for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, equitable and civilized society.
Mr. Hoang Luu. |
The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is an opportunity to pay tribute to the past, consolidate the present and look forward to the future, a future in which I am confident our nation will be even stronger under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

* Tran Hoang Thien Ngan, student of class 10C14, Pham Van Dong High School (Nha Trang City): The more mature I become, the more deeply grateful I am to the previous generation.
I am Tran Hoang Thien Ngan |
We, the youth, were born, grew up and studied in peace, so we cherish and are grateful to the generations of our fathers and brothers who sacrificed and shed blood and tears to gain independence for the nation. The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is not only an occasion to express gratitude, but also a reminder for our generation to inherit and continue the heroic and indomitable tradition of the Vietnamese people; constantly strive to study, practice morality, and cultivate ourselves to become good citizens, contributing to building our homeland and country to become more and more prosperous and civilized. Besides, I also want to spread this gratitude to my friends and the young generation today so that we all can appreciate the value of peace more, join hands to protect and promote the achievements our fathers and brothers have left behind.
