The exhibition “For Vietnam-Por Vietnam” introduces 42 photos and propaganda posters created by Cuban artists, expressing their affection for the Vietnamese people in their long struggle to defend the country.

Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, said that Vietnam and Cuba, although half a world away, soon found in each other a deep bond in the journey of fighting for independence, freedom and building socialism. The relationship between the two nations has transcended conventional frameworks, becoming an exemplary symbol of pure and loyal international solidarity.

During the difficult years of the Vietnamese people's resistance war against American imperialism to save the country, under the leadership of leader Fidel Castro, Cuba gave Vietnam the most complete and practical support.

President Fidel Castro’s famous quote: “For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its own blood” is deeply engraved in the hearts of every Vietnamese person as a solemn oath of comradeship and brotherhood. Cuba not only provided spiritual support but also material aid, sending experts, doctors, and engineers to help Vietnam in the most difficult times.

The Vietnam-Cuba relationship is not only nurtured by the leaders of the two countries but also deeply rooted in the sentiments of the people of the two countries. The people of the two countries always have for each other feelings of love, admiration and sincere sharing, imbued with noble international sentiment.

“The exhibition “For Vietnam-Por Vietnam” introduces 42 photos and propaganda posters created by Cuban artists, expressing their affection for the Vietnamese people in their long struggle to defend the country. This is not only a cultural event of profound significance, but also an opportunity for the Vietnamese public to better understand, be proud of and foster feelings about the special and loyal relationship between Vietnam and Cuba over the past half century, thereby contributing to strengthening the close relationship and steadfast relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries,” Mr. Hoang Trung Dung shared.

Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam, informed that the photos and propaganda posters on display were created by Cuban artists in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century; expressing strong opposition to the crimes of imperialism against the Vietnamese people. This is also a vivid demonstration of the solidarity and encouragement of the Cuban people for the heroic resistance of the Vietnamese people. Many Cuban organizations encourage the creation and dissemination of these works of political and artistic value.

“Whether one thousand years, two thousand years, five thousand years or ten thousand years from now, future generations will forever remember the heroism of the Vietnamese people. The great sacrifice for the most sacred value of independence and freedom is a lesson in the indomitable will for the struggle for justice all over the world," Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes emphasized.

Today, in the context of a volatile world, the Vietnam-Cuba solidarity continues to be consolidated and developed. The two countries are constantly expanding cooperation in the fields of economics, politics, culture, health, education, agriculture, etc. In the hearts of every Vietnamese person, Cuba is not only a heroic nation but also a loyal friend, sharing hardships and looking towards a better future./.
