At the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Memorial, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, members of the working delegation and leaders of Quang Tri province laid wreaths, offered incense, and paid tribute to the heroic martyrs.

The heroic and resilient fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri town during 81 historic days and nights, the fiery summer of 1972, contributed significantly to the victory at the Paris conference table, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country.
