(HTV) - The Gia Dinh 4 Special Forces Resistance Tradition Club, jointly organized by the Liaison Committees in both the North and South, organized a meeting. The program was even more meaningful as it took place in the heroic land of Cu Chi, which was also the unit's former battlefield.
The Traditional Liaison Committee of the Gia Dinh 4 Special Forces Resistance met to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Gia Dinh 4 Special Forces Battalion was established on November 15, 1967. As an elite special unit under the Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Region, the battalion, together with the special forces, participated in the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising, the 1972 Nguyen Hue Spring Campaign and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
As a special elite unit under the Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Region, the battalion participated in many major campaigns with the special armed forces.
The Liaison Committee currently has more than 100 members, regularly connecting with each other in both regions. This meeting program is an opportunity for members to review unforgettable memories of soldiers, visit and encourage each other to maintain the fine traditions of the veterans "Uncle Ho's soldiers", well implement the Operating Regulations of the Armed Forces - Special Forces of the Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Region and the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh City Resistance Tradition Club of which we are members.
