- On the afternoon of April 29, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Van Lang District held a meeting to evaluate the progress of the housing support program for poor households, near-poor households, policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution and households affected by natural disasters and climate change in the area in 2025.
According to the report at the conference, implementing the housing support program under Resolution 188-NQ/TU, Van Lang district has 256 households eligible for support, including 115 newly built houses and 141 repaired houses. To date, all projects have been completed, reaching 100% of the set plan.
In parallel, implementing Decision 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025, the district has 481 households supported, with 245 households building new houses and 236 households repairing. Of these, 228 households belong to the group of poor households, near-poor households, policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution; the remaining 221 households belong to the group affected by natural disasters, climate change and other subjects.
Up to now, the district has completed the construction of 117/120 houses (reaching 97.5%) and repaired 107/107 houses for poor, near-poor and policy families. For households affected by natural disasters and other groups, the district is implementing the construction of 6 new houses and repairing 2 houses.
Discussing at the conference, delegates highly appreciated the drastic participation of the entire political system, creating high consensus among the people. However, the implementation process also encountered some difficulties such as the lack of uniformity in the guidance for preparing payment records, and the limited survey and review of the current housing status.
In the coming time, the District Steering Committee will continue to focus on leading and directing synchronous solutions to accelerate construction progress, ensure construction quality; strengthen monitoring and reporting on progress, and at the same time promote the socialization of resources to effectively implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, striving for 100% of households to complete repairs before May 30, 2025, and households to complete new construction before June 30, 2025.
