Lien Dam Solid Waste Treatment Plant has put into operation phase 1 of the Project invested by Saigon Xanh Biotechnology Company Limited on a total area of ​​over 21 hectares, total investment capital of 291 billion VND, total design capacity of 350 tons/day and night.

Phase 1 of the project has used over 18 hectares, with an investment capital of 142 billion VND, a capacity of 150 tons/day and night, including 9 main construction clusters that have been completed. Among them, there is a cluster of domestic solid waste classification lines; industrial and domestic waste incinerators; unburnt brick production lines; wastewater treatment system, etc.

In addition, plastic recycling activities, research and development of experimental gardens will initially be supported by the Saigon Xanh Da Phuoc Factory in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Ngo Pa Ri - Chairman of the Board of Members of Saigon Green Biotechnology Company Limited, informed: In the coming time, the Company will continue to invest in completing the waste treatment technology line according to the principle of circular - closed - increased recycling; at the same time, deploying items of phase 2 to soon reach the design capacity of 350 tons/day and night, meeting the waste treatment needs of the locality.

Sort input waste before processing

In recent years, Lam Dong province has made continuous efforts to implement many programs and projects to strengthen waste management and treatment, and protect the ecological environment. However, with the rapid pace of urbanization and industrialization, the increasing amount of waste has posed many pressures.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the factory, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The inauguration of the Di Linh District Waste Treatment Plant today is an important step in concretizing the Green Development Strategy of the province. The factory not only has the meaning of solving the problem of household waste, limiting environmental pollution, but also creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development for the locality.

In order for the project to be most effective, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the investor and the operating unit strictly implement technical processes, apply advanced technology, ensure labor safety, environmental safety, improve waste treatment efficiency, and move towards a model of resource circulation, recycling, and reuse.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc also requested Di Linh district to closely coordinate with units and enterprises to do a good job of waste classification and collection; propagate and raise public awareness of environmental protection; relevant departments and branches of the province continue to support, guide and closely monitor so that the factory operates stably and in accordance with regulations.

After being completely processed, the waste will become soil for agriculture.

At the end of March, a fire broke out at a landfill in Gung Re commune (Di Linh district), causing environmental pollution, affecting people's gardens and forest areas in the area. The effective operation of Lien Dam waste treatment plant will not only solve environmental problems in Di Linh district but also contribute to reducing the burden of waste treatment for other areas in the province, especially Bao Loc city and Duc Trong district.
