According to the leader of Soc Trang Electricity Company, in the first months of 2025, the power supply situation in Soc Trang province was stable, ensuring power supply for local socio-economic development and important events of the province. The planned suspension and reduction of power supply to serve the maintenance of the power grid, construction of repair works, investment in power grid development, etc. in the area was carried out in accordance with Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BCT, dated February 1, 2025 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the procedures for suspension and reduction of power supply.

Recently, Soc Trang Electricity Company has strengthened its direction and management to strive for the rate of customers paying electricity bills without cash (TTTĐKDTM) to reach 50 - 60% by 2024. The implementation of TTTĐKDTM has been making positive progress. Specifically, as of December 31, 2023, the rate of TTTĐKDTM customers accounted for 38.19%; as of December 31, 2024, the rate of TTTĐKDTM customers accounted for 39.71%, an increase of 1.52% compared to the end of 2023; As of March 31, 2025, the proportion of TTTĐKDTM customers accounted for 41.05%, an increase of 1.34% compared to the end of 2024. In 2025, Soc Trang Power Company will continue to maintain TTTĐKDTM customer mobilization, striving to achieve the proportion of TTTĐKDTM customers reaching > 60% by the end of 2025...

Regarding the implementation of major repair projects - construction investment, the leader of Soc Trang Power Company informed that in 2025, Soc Trang Power Company will continue to implement the major repair plan - construction investment to develop the power grid with a total investment of 774,821 billion VND, including medium and low voltage power grid projects and 110kV power grid. Of which, Soc Trang Power Company will carry out major repairs of 13 projects with a total planned value of 30,790 billion VND and invest in the construction of 36 power grid projects with a total investment of 744,031 billion VND.

In order to best serve the political, cultural and social activities as well as the entertainment needs of the people in the province during important holidays, such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day (May 1), Soc Trang Power Company has assigned Soc Trang High Voltage Grid Enterprise to comprehensively inspect 110kV power lines and transformer stations under its management, promptly detect and handle abnormal phenomena to ensure stable operation of the power system. Subordinate power companies also simultaneously inspected the 22kV medium voltage grid, cleared the line corridor, reviewed the status of transformer stations and technical equipment, and proactively handled defects that could potentially cause incidents.

To better serve the electricity supply during the holiday, the company has arranged a 24/7 operating schedule at key locations, from the control center, the distribution power system dispatch department, to technical, repair, and driving teams... At the same time, ensuring the smooth operation of the communication and grid management systems.

At the same time, affiliated units develop coordination plans, assign specific tasks, fully prepare materials, spare equipment, construction tools, protective equipment, transformers and backup generators, and are ready to respond to any possible incidents.

In addition to efforts to ensure stable electricity supply, Soc Trang Electricity Company also recommends that customers use electricity economically and safely, especially during peak hours to limit local overloads or unfortunate incidents due to carelessness in electricity use.
