As one of the large-scale hotels built early in Hoa Lu city, Hoang Son Peace Hotel has gradually affirmed its position in the accommodation system in Ninh Binh.

Mr. Hoang Minh Thanh, Director of Hoang Son Peace Hotel said: After 15 years of operation, the hotel has constantly innovated, improved the quality and experience for visitors to meet the increasing demands as well as the rapid development of Ninh Binh tourism in recent years. From the beginning with more than 100 rooms and a restaurant serving about 800 guests, the hotel has now increased to nearly 300 rooms with 2 Asian - European restaurants that can simultaneously welcome nearly 4,000 guests to enjoy the cuisine.

At Minawa Kenh Ga Resort, Gia Vien district, to enhance the experience for tourists, aiming to affirm the quality of medical tourism, in early 2025 this resort will also put into operation a modern sauna area.

Ms. Vu Thi Cam Hang, Resort Manager shared: Realizing that medical tourism is increasingly attracting more and more people, especially international tourists, we have built modern saunas such as cold snow saunas, rosewood saunas, infrared saunas, and Himalayan pink salt saunas. With continuous investment in infrastructure and improvement of service quality, accommodation establishments in the province have been meeting the increasing demand of domestic and international tourists. According to the Department of Tourism, the accommodation system in the province is currently developing strongly, diversifying in terms of quantity, quality and type.

The province has nearly 900 accommodation establishments, with nearly 11,000 rooms. Accommodation establishments always pay attention to service quality and invest in equipment to attract tourists. In addition to investing in facilities and enhancing experiences, travel businesses are also actively responding to solutions aimed at green tourism and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Tong Anh De, General Director of Legend Hotel, the first 5-star hotel in Ninh Binh, in addition to focusing on improving quality, the hotel has pioneered in implementing green tourism trends such as limiting the use of plastic waste; classifying waste; using energy-saving equipment; applying information technology in the process of managing and operating machinery and equipment; developing a green tree system; focusing on environmental protection; raising awareness of staff, employees, etc. This is an inevitable trend that not only helps businesses enhance their image, reputation, and save costs, but also protects the resources, landscape, and culture of the province for sustainable development.

According to Mr. Phung Quang Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam Green Tourism Association, tourist accommodation is an indispensable product in the tourism service chain, playing an important role in improving the quality of tourism and attracting tourists. When the service is of good quality, it will create prestige, contribute to improving competitiveness and creating a brand for each unit and the whole industry. For Ninh Binh province, in recent times, many accommodation establishments have focused on transformation to develop in a green direction, responsible for the environment and society.

This is demonstrated through many positive results such as Ninh Binh being one of two localities nationwide to pilot the project "Reducing plastic waste in Vietnam's tourism industry" chaired by the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment.

Most recently, Ninh Binh is the province with the most active enterprises in participating in the Green Tourism Criteria (accounting for 34.5% of the total number of units nationwide). As a result, 100% of the units met the criteria and were awarded the Green Tourism label, including many accommodation establishments achieving the Excellent rating.

Along with the rapid development of the accommodation industry, management has also been given top priority in recent times. The Department of Tourism, the Provincial Tourism Association, and local authorities have strengthened the inspection, evaluation, and classification of accommodation establishments; at the same time, training courses on service skills, hotel management, and civilized tourism behavior for workers in the industry.

In the context of green tourism and responsible tourism becoming a global trend, Ninh Binh has great potential to develop an accommodation system that is both environmentally friendly and rich in cultural identity. However, to do that, it requires the joint efforts of management agencies, businesses and the community to not only upgrade facilities, but also build a journey to build the image of a professional, civilized and experience-rich destination.
