Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Hoang Quoc Khanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Toan Thang, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and localities of the province; Delegation of Hong Ha district, Yunnan province, China; representatives of a number of neighboring provinces.

Speaking at the opening night, Comrade Do Van Tan, Vice Chairman of Sa Pa Town People's Committee emphasized: This is a cultural - tourism event of special significance, not only marking Sa Pa town entering a new stage of development, but also demonstrating the dedication and determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Sa Pa ethnic groups in preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, beautiful natural landscapes, contributing to affirming the position of Sa Pa on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.

On the opening night, locals and tourists enjoyed many special singing and dancing performances by singers and actors from the Lao Cai Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe, the Sa Pa Town Cultural, Sports and Communications Center and local people. (Photo below)
