The April 30 and May 1 holidays this year last for 5 days. To ensure the care and treatment of patients, the Ha Tinh Department of Health has issued a document directing medical facilities to develop a plan to prepare human resources, supplies, and medicine to receive emergency cases, treat and care for patients staying. Based on the direction of the Department of Health, medical facilities have quickly implemented plans and assigned shifts to receive and treat people as promptly as possible.

At the Provincial General Hospital, during the holidays, it is expected that hundreds of patients will have to stay for inpatient treatment and will not be able to return home. Therefore, the unit has promptly deployed the assignment of adequate staff to departments to provide good care for patients. Accordingly, departments with a large number of inpatients such as pediatrics, internal medicine, trauma, cardiology, intensive care, etc. will all have additional doctors and nurses on duty. The hemodialysis area operates throughout the holidays to meet the needs of the people. The Pediatrics Department will also arrange doctors to screen for congenital heart disease by ultrasound. The Request Clinic will be available on all holidays.
Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Provincial General Hospital said: “As the province's final medical facility, the number of emergency cases is often high. Therefore, human resources and medical supplies at the Emergency - Anti-Poison Department and the surgical departments are fully arranged, ensuring that all patients receive emergency care, medical examination and treatment promptly. The hospital also thoroughly instructs all staff to improve their attitude towards serving patients, communicating and behaving kindly and politely; properly implementing relevant regulations and technical procedures. Emergency teams must always be ready when an epidemic occurs. Individuals assigned to be on duty at the outpatient and resident hospitals must not travel far, not drink alcohol, and must not turn off their phones on duty days. When there is a mobilization order, they must be present at the assembly location within 15 minutes of receiving the order.”

During the holidays, Huong Khe District Medical Center will also assign staff to be on duty 24/7. At the same time, it will review and strictly implement the work of effective triage and classification of patient risks right from the time of admission. Strengthen professional support for health stations in communes and towns; strengthen the capacity of emergency transportation and referral of patients from the community and from health stations to higher levels. In particular, the center's leaders require the IT department to ensure the necessary equipment and facilities for remote consultation and treatment when there are difficult cases.
Doctor Nguyen Truong Lam - Director of Huong Khe District Medical Center informed: "Up to now, the unit has fully prepared medicines, samples, infusion fluids, supplies, chemicals, medical equipment, medical oxygen and arranged a number of hospital beds and emergency vehicles, ready to respond and serve treatment and emergency work, especially emergency traffic accident, injury, food poisoning and treatment of patients with infectious diseases during the holidays. At the same time, request medical stations to strictly maintain on-duty work, closely monitor the development of the epidemic in the area. Strengthen community surveillance, early detection of suspected cases to prevent and control, not to spread and break out".

It is known that currently, all medical facilities with beds in the area have developed specific plans, especially in preparing conditions for human resources, supplies, chemicals, and medicines for emergency, treatment, and care for patients according to the direction of the Department of Health. In particular, units with artificial kidney units such as Ky Anh General Hospital, Huong Son Medical Center, Duc Tho District Medical Center, and Ha Tinh General Hospital all maintain round-the-clock operations to meet the needs of patients. External emergency teams have been established to provide timely professional support, especially in cases of trauma, food poisoning, and disease outbreaks...
Doctor Le Chanh Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Health emphasized: "This year's holiday is long, it is forecasted that many people will travel to and from Ha Tinh, which poses many risks to food safety and hygiene, traffic accidents, injuries and disease outbreaks. Therefore, it is required that the Provincial Center for Disease Control and district-level medical centers assign staff to be on duty 24/7 to prevent and control the epidemic during the holidays. At the same time, closely monitor the epidemic situation in the area; strengthen community surveillance, early detection, timely and thorough handling of infectious disease outbreaks, and prevent outbreaks and spread to the community.
Medical examination and treatment facilities need to ensure human resources, medicines, equipment, medical supplies and organize full duty at 4 levels to provide emergency care and medical examination and treatment for people, ready for all situations of epidemic developments. During the holidays, all emergency patients must be examined and treated promptly, and no emergency cases must be refused or delayed. If it exceeds professional capacity or is not in the specialty, it is necessary to provide initial emergency treatment and stabilization, and fully explain to the patient and the patient's family before transferring to another medical facility.
