On April 29, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts to Colonel, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Hoang Van Thuong at his private home, Group 3, Trung Khanh town, Trung Khanh district.

Hero Hoang Van Thuong, born in 1948, of the Tay ethnic group, grew up in Ban Gian, Lang Hieu commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province. Following the call of the Fatherland, at the age of 20, he joined the army and volunteered to go to the southern battlefield. At the 305th Special Forces Division, he was one of the pioneers paving the way for battles. For nearly 20 years of holding a gun, he participated in many large and small battles. With many outstanding achievements, on November 6, 1978, he was honored by the State to be a Hero of the People's Armed Forces and was awarded many noble orders and medals.

The Provincial Party Secretary kindly inquired about the health and life of the Hero of the Armed Forces and his family, expressed his respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Hero Hoang Van Thuong to the cause of national liberation and unification, and wished that Hero Hoang Van Thuong and his family would continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, always be a shining example, a source of pride, and a spiritual support for the younger generation to follow. At the same time, continue to contribute intelligence and efforts, join hands with the local Party Committee and government to well perform the tasks of socio-economic development, strengthen national defense and security, and build a more civilized and prosperous homeland and country.
