In his opening speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized: “The historic month of April marked an immortal spring of unification. April 30, 1975 was not only a great victory for the nation but also a shining symbol of Vietnamese patriotism, intelligence and bravery. Culture and art are not only a triumphant song, but also a mission to connect the past and the future, illuminating the aspiration to build a strong country. Today's program is a profound gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for independence and freedom and a symphony of strong belief in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam - a belief that will continue to lead our nation to write a new heroic epic in the era of development."
The scene depicts the pain but indomitability of the nation. |
The program's content is divided into three parts with consistent themes: Part 1 - "The pain of division and the path to unification": Portraying the painful reality of a divided country and the burning desire for reunification in the hearts of the people; Part 2 - "Spring of peace": Recreating the moment of historical victory, when the country was reunited; Part 3 - "Spring of the new era": Praising the country's renovation and development after 1975, towards a prosperous and prosperous future.
The first part of the program, titled “The Pain of Separation and the Road to Reunification”, recreates the time in 1954, when the country was still divided into two regions, North and South. In that atmosphere, the medley Cau ho ben wharf Hien Luong and the traditional song On the two ends of nostalgia (by musicians Hoang Hiep, Phan Huynh Dieu, Lam Huu Tang) resounded with the singing of People's Artist Thu Hien, Meritorious Artist Vo Minh Lam and People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh, along with students, soldiers and the Tre dance troupe.
Continuing the artistic journey of recreating history, the performance Song of Five Tons (composed by Nguyen Van Ty) opens up the space of a period when the North became a solid rear base, mobilizing all its forces to support the South. People's Artist Thu Hien returns to the stage with the dance troupe in the image of a farmer who is both producing and ready to fight. In the fields, the spirit of "Not a pound of rice is missing, not a soldier is missing" appears vividly, expressing the iron will of the rear base towards the front line.
Young men in military uniforms left their hometowns, crossing Truong Son to the battlefields of the South. Despite the arduous journey, the melodies they carried still sparkled with faith and aspiration. The medley "My Road Walks Long Along the Country" and "Spring in the War Zone" performed by Truong Linh and Hoa Minzy, had a youthful, bright tone, like a flame of hope lit during wartime.
In a simple Ao Ba Ba, singer Hoa Minzy stepped out with a spring apricot branch, welcoming the soldiers back to the middle of a brilliant apricot forest - where the vibrant cultural life of soldiers and guerrillas took place, spreading optimism and love of life.
Modern animation and effects recreate the nation's heroic historical moments. |
The next scene takes the audience back to the historic moment of the Mau Than Spring General Offensive and Uprising in 1968. Uncle Ho's New Year's greetings resounded through the loudspeakers, blending into the tense atmosphere of the underground tunnels - where liberation soldiers prepared for the important battle. The images of hands wiping guns, letters hurriedly sent to the rear touched people's hearts. The message "The darkest place is the brightest" was expressed through the medley of Ca Co Cai Luong (Hoang Song Viet) and Mat Troi Trong Ban Toi (Hua Kim Tuyen) performed by People's Artist Phuong Loan, People's Artist Trong Phuc and Le Thu Hien, resounding majestically and full of emotion.
Closing the journey of memories is a peaceful picture of the country today. With the background music of Spring in Ho Chi Minh City, the audience feels a vibrant, modern life but still imbued with national pride. The graceful Ao Dai among the bright fireworks - the image symbolizes a city that has gone through war and risen up.
Modern sound, light, and stage effects create artistic sequences that bring many emotions to delegates and audiences watching the program. |
The peaceful, gentle atmosphere in the ending creates a deep silence after the heroic historical chapters. The spring of unification ends with a peaceful melody - where the past and present intersect, from which the belief in a bright future continues to resonate.
The program uses modern sound, lighting, and stage effects to create emotional artistic sequences with historical depth and high aesthetic value. Each performance is a vivid slice of the country's 50-year flow, from the ancient battlefields to today's achievements.
“Spring of Reunification” is not only an occasion to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, but also to arouse the faith, solidarity and responsibility of today’s generation in the journey of building an increasingly strong country. The spirit of the great victory of the Spring of the past will continue to be a source of inspiration for Vietnam to look to the future with determination, courage and aspiration to rise high.
