Van Gia Port Border Guard Station offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs

On the morning of April 29, the Van Gia Port Border Post coordinated with the Party Committee and authorities of Vinh Trung and Vinh Thuc communes (Mong Cai City) to offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; and visited and presented gifts to 3 families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people.

The delegation offered incense at the Monument of the Martyrs of Vinh Thuc Commune. The delegation expressed their deep remembrance and gratitude to the previous generation who sacrificed their blood and bones to protect the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, national border security, for the peace, prosperity and happiness of the people.

At families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services, the delegation presented 7 gifts worth 6 million VND in total. This is one of the practical and meaningful activities to promote the good tradition of "Drinking water, remembering its source", "Repaying gratitude" of the nation, contributing to strengthening the close-knit solidarity between the border guards, local Party committees, authorities and people in border and island areas.
