Ha Tinh passengers are proud to be on the "Reunification Train"

At 3:30 a.m. on April 30, 9 passengers on the "Reunification Train" numbered SE1 arrived at Huong Pho Station (Huong Khe Town, Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh Province) to complete procedures before boarding the train. At the waiting room, the passengers were given national flags by Huong Pho Station staff in traditional Ao Dai.

On the evening of April 29, two “Reunification Trains” SE4 and SE1 departed from Saigon Station to Hanoi and from Hanoi Station to Ho Chi Minh City, respectively. These two special trains met at Da Nang Station at 0:40 on April 30, the exact day of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

After completing the procedures, from the waiting room, passengers moved to the SE1 train pick-up location and were warmly welcomed by Huong Pho station staff.

“I feel very lucky, honored and proud to be on the “Reunification Train” SE1 on this special occasion when the whole country is joyfully celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. My family and I will definitely enjoy the special moments and have memorable experiences on the SE1 train”, Ms. Uong Thi Thanh Binh (born in 1985, residing in Thach Quy ward, Ha Tinh city) shared.

According to Mr. Mai Duc Chinh - Head of Huong Pho Station, the two "Reunification Trains" carry the message of national unity, arousing pride and love for the homeland in each passenger. The unit tries its best to prepare to welcome passengers with the hope that they will have a happy experience on train SE1 on this special occasion.

At exactly 4:06 am, the “Reunification Train” number SE1 arrived at Huong Pho station. Train station staff and passengers stood together to welcome the special train.

After a 3-minute stop at Huong Pho station, the "Reunification Train" number SE1 continued its journey to Ho Chi Minh City.

Before stopping at Huong Pho station, the "Reunification Train" number SE1 stopped at Yen Trung station (Duc Tho town, Duc Tho district) from 3:07 to 3:10 on April 30. At Yen Trung station, there was 1 passenger boarding train SE1.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) organized the operation of two trains named "Reunification Trains", specially designed, bearing the mark of the historical event.

Accordingly, train SE1 departed from Hanoi station and SE4 departed from Saigon station on the evening of April 29. The two trains met at 12 noon on April 30 at Da Nang station.

The journey of the “Reunification Train” aims to pay tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who shed blood and sweat to regain independence for the country. Among the 800 passengers on these two trains are veterans and families with revolutionary contributions.

On this occasion, the railway industry is offering a 40% discount on ticket prices for those who have contributed to the revolution, including war invalids, sick soldiers, veterans, and relatives of those who have contributed to the revolution. The program applies to train tickets from April 24 to May 9.
