Honor, responsibility and pride to contribute to the implementation of the A50 mission

(LĐ online) - Honor, responsibility and pride are the feelings of the typical young soldiers from the Southern Central Highlands who came to train in Ho Chi Minh City to join thousands of officers and soldiers from other units across the country working day and night to practice and march in the Great Ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

CARRYING THE FAITH OF ALL TEAMMATES

In order to carry out the assigned targets, Lam Dong Military Command sent 10 officers and soldiers to directly participate in the rehearsal for the parade. In addition, there were also forces participating in performing tasks to ensure that this event took place as planned.

Colonel Nguyen Van Son - Political Commissar of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command shared: The parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a particularly important political event. Therefore, the Provincial Military Command has carefully selected the forces participating in the implementation of this A50 mission.

Present at the Military School of Military Region 7, where 7 blocks with 1,110 comrades performing tasks for the Parade and March are stationed, we witnessed the soldiers practicing enthusiastically with the highest effort and determination.

All with the same determination, successfully completing the mission on the Great Ceremony day

Professional Lieutenant Do Nguyen Ngoc Quyen - Staff of the Personnel Department, Political Department, Provincial Military Command shared: This is not only a task, full of honor and pride for a young soldier like me, but participating in the A50 mission this time is also a memorable mark in my military life.

In the South, in the last days of Spring and early Summer, there is sunshine and then there is rain. The sun is scorching, the rain is pouring but it still does not affect the spirit and will of the forces participating in the parade practice.

In a hasty conversation with Lieutenant Dang Ngoc Bich - Legal Assistant, Lam Dong Provincial Military Command Office, the young female soldier did not mention the hardships she had gone through, her eyes were bright and full of determination, saying: We went to carry out the A50 mission to carry all the trust and affection that our leaders and comrades had entrusted to us. Therefore, we must prepare the best health and make the greatest effort to complete the mission well.

Currently, the training is in phase 3 (preliminary review and rehearsal phase), but this task was previously extended for nearly 4 months. Lieutenant Do Van Thang - Transport Platoon Leader (Logistics - Engineering Department, Provincial Military Command) said: The two previous phases include basic training conducted at the unit from the end of 2024 to mid-February 2025, followed by a concentrated training phase lasting until early April. And phase 3 is concentrated practice and preliminary review and rehearsal.

"We practice regularly, but when participating in the preliminary and final rehearsals, directly seeing the people's affection for the forces participating in the parade, every time the parade is as emotional as the first time" - Lieutenant Do Van Thang shared.

His entire face was dark, only the place where he wore his hat strap was still white, but he always had a smile on his lips. Lieutenant Truong Si Hoai Nam - Platoon Leader of the Reconnaissance Company (Staff Department, Provincial Military Command) said: When the assembly whistle sounds, everyone must quickly get into position, at that time everything will be put aside, there is only one thought, which is to follow the commander's command. All personal matters are temporarily put aside to focus on completing the task in the best way possible.

In their conversations with us, all the young soldiers of the Lam Dong armed forces seemed to “forget” to talk about the hardships they had experienced. Only through the officers at the Military School of Military Region 7 did we understand more clearly: To be able to stand for hours and still show a dignified demeanor regardless of the weather, requires each officer and soldier to train in terms of health, spirit and “iron” discipline.

Even though their bodies were drenched in sweat from the sun or their shoes were soaked in the rain, it did not affect the soldiers’ determination to train. They had poured a lot of sweat and effort on the training ground for each step to be precise. To have a formation and synchronized steps was after training sessions with sore bodies and swollen, even bleeding feet. For those soldiers, besides their duties, above all, it was respect and continuation of the previous generation.

The soldiers always have smiles on their lips.

Now, the young soldiers of Lam Dong Provincial Military Command in particular and all the soldiers participating in the A50 mission in general today have taken decisive, steady, and coordinated steps in sync with the majestic music. The operations with equipment and weapons have met the requirements of being correct, even, beautiful, and technically guaranteed.

The sound of footsteps, in unison, echoing the oath of “For the Fatherland, forget yourself”, is a symbol of faith, of the unity of will between the Party, the army and the people. Now, all of those selected elite soldiers, no one mentions the “hard training”, but they only aim for one goal, to create unified blocks, heroic and solemn formations on the country’s great holiday, to best carry out the tasks entrusted to them by the Party, the State and the Army.

Cherish the past, look to the future

Mission A50 - organizing a state-level military parade and review of the troops in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) is not only a major event but also a strong affirmation of the position and stature of the Vietnam People's Army in the new era.

The forces participating in mission A50 this time include: Parade of military and militia groups (23 groups); parade of police groups (12 groups); parade of mass groups (10 groups) and parade of culture and sports groups (1 group).

Each formation represents a unit, a force, a historical period or a glorious feat of our army and people. This is a sacred gift, respectfully offered to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the Fatherland. At the same time, it is a message affirming the belief, aspiration for development and the steadfastness of the Vietnamese people on the path of international integration.

Every step, every fluttering national flag, every modern weapon in the parade will contribute to creating a vivid picture of a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, gradually modern army, true to the spirit of selflessness for the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the country.

The parade and march on the upcoming Great Day will be the pinnacle of the discipline, bravery, spirit and fighting strength of the entire army. It is also a clear manifestation of the quality of regular construction, gradually modernizing the Army in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution 230-NQ/QUTW on building a lean, compact, strong and modern Vietnam People's Army.

The beautiful images captured during the preliminary and final rehearsals are a strong testament to the will, solidarity, and political mettle of the officers and soldiers. They are also an important foundation for building a sense of discipline, exemplary military style, and being prepared for all situations in training, rehearsals, or combat.

And the parade is also a message to the entire nation and international friends: Vietnam is a peaceful and peace-loving country, always ready to firmly protect its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity with combined strength, in which the people's armed forces are the core.
