In the journey to search for and promote Vietnamese culinary values and specialties, previously in 2020-2021, U Minh hotpot was in the top 100 Vietnamese specialty dishes and 100 Vietnamese specialty gifts.
Mr. Giang Hoang Hon (wearing a scarf), the owner of the giant fish sauce hotpot, is demonstrating how to make fish sauce hotpot. This hotpot was officially recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the largest "U Minh fish sauce hotpot" in Vietnam and was also recognized as an Asian record.
To preserve and promote the culinary cultural value that the U Minh Ha forest brings, this morning, May 24, at the event "U Minh Forest Fragrance 2025", Mr. Giang Hoang Hon recreated the fish sauce hotpot that set an Asian record for visitors from near and far to enjoy.
Mr. Giang Hoang Hon said: “The ingredients for this giant hotpot are about 50 kg of snakehead fish, perch, goby fish, snails, eels, shrimp, squid, 15 kg of fish sauce, 200 fresh coconuts and 300 liters of broth. In particular, the hotpot is eaten with more than 10 types of country vegetables available in the U Minh Ha forest land.
