Having gone through 4/5 of the journey of implementing breakthrough strategies with a broad vision, up to now, Ca Mau has achieved proud achievements and is firmly positioned to develop even more dramatically in the coming time.

First of all, we must mention the strategic breakthrough in administrative reform, building e-government, building a digital economy; streamlining the organization of the political system, improving the sense of responsibility and attitude towards serving the people of cadres, civil servants and public employees; improving the competitiveness of the economy... Up to now, the application of information technology in handling administrative procedures has been significantly improved. Specifically, the rate of records handled through online public services reached 86%; the rate of online payment reached 81%; the rate of digitization of records and results of handling administrative procedures in the province reached 92%.

Export turnover in 2024 reached 1.26 billion USD, exceeding the plan by 1.2% and increasing by 5.2% over the same period; the whole term is estimated to reach 6.019 billion USD, exceeding the resolution target by 3%.

Another impressive breakthrough has been the clear transformation of the economy, improving people's lives. In particular, it is necessary to mention the effective mobilization of investment resources to build a synchronous infrastructure system with the viewpoint of prioritizing investment in building transport infrastructure one step ahead, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development; along with that is the outstanding development in dynamic urban areas: Ca Mau City, Song Doc Town, Nam Can Town.

Promoting the marine economy and completing the transport infrastructure have created conditions for the coastal urban area of ​​Song Doc (Tran Van Thoi district) to develop remarkably.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Duc Hien, said that by the end of 2024, for the 17 main targets in the term resolution, 6 targets were exceeded and 4 targets were achieved; it is estimated that by the end of the term, 8 targets were exceeded and 7 targets were achieved (2 targets forecast to be difficult to achieve are GRDP growth and economic structure). The implementation of strategic breakthroughs has been focused on and directed strongly, achieving a number of important results. The investment and business environment is increasingly open and transparent; administrative reform has many positive changes. The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of the province in 2023 ranked 22/63 provinces and cities nationwide (up 36 places compared to 2022), in the group of 30 provinces and cities with the best economic management quality in 2023; In 2024, Ca Mau will continue to hold the leading position among provinces and cities nationwide in the People and Business Service Index as well as leading the country in the FTA index...

To date, Ca Mau has 16 wind power projects in the approved planning, with a total capacity of 1,000 MW. Of these, 14 projects have been approved for investment with a total capacity of 800 MW (of which 170 MW have been put into commercial operation); 2 projects with a total capacity of 200 MW have been proposed by investors. Recently, in adjusting the Power Plan VIII, the Government set a target of exporting electricity to Singapore and Malaysia, accordingly, Ca Mau will be the center of renewable energy for export.
