Three 110kV power grid projects were energized today, including: An Hiep 110kV transformer station and Ben Tre - An Hiep 110kV transmission line; Giao Long - Phu Thuan 110kV transmission line; Phu Thuan 110kV transformer station. These projects were invested by Southern Power Corporation to meet the demand for electricity load development in the province, improve the reliability of regional power supply, serve the socio-economic development - national security and defense of the locality, meet the N-1 criteria, enhance stability and reduce losses in the regional power system and improve the lives of people in Ben Tre province.

The An Hiep 110kV Transformer Station and Ben Tre - An Hiep 110kV Transmission Line project has a total investment of 137 billion VND, the total length of the 110kV transmission line is 9.5km including 2 circuits, 44 tower locations passing through Chau Thanh district (24 locations) and Ben Tre city (20 locations) and the total capacity of the transformer station is 2x40 MVA, the first phase installed 01MBA 40MVA in advance. The project started construction in January 2021, phase 1 was energized in February 2025 and technically energized on April 28, 2025.

The Giao Long - Phu Thuan 110kV Transmission Line Project has a total investment of VND 85.4 billion. The total length of the 110kV transmission line is 9km, including 2 circuits, 36 tower locations passing through Chau Thanh (13 locations) and Binh Dai (23 locations) districts, and building 2 new 110kV feeder bays at the existing Giao Long Station (using the reserved land without expanding the station land area). The project started construction in December 2024 and was completed and technically energized on April 28, 2025.

The Phu Thuan 110kV Transformer Station project has a total investment of 66.3 billion VND, the total capacity of the transformer station is 2x40 MVA, the first phase will install 01 40MVA transformer. The project started construction on December 31, 2023 and phase 1 was energized on February 25, 2025 and technically energized on April 28, 2025.

General Director of Southern Power Corporation Nguyen Phuoc Duc spoke at the ceremony: “ In the period of 2020 - 2025, Southern Power Corporation has invested over 2,260 billion VND to develop the power grid in Ben Tre. In the period of 2020 - 2024, 1,012 billion VND has been invested; by 2025, Southern Power Corporation has invested the remaining approximately 1,000 billion VND for power projects in the province. The Corporation is very pleased, because thanks to the coordination and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, especially the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, who has closely followed to support the site clearance of power projects. Thanks to that, the An Hiep 110kV Transformer Station and the Ben Tre - An Hiep 110kV Transmission Line have been energized earlier than planned (planned to be energized on August 31, 2025), the remaining projects The Southern Power Corporation also thanked the people in the project area for understanding that the investment in the power grid is to serve socio-economic development, so the people were ready to hand over the site to the construction unit...”.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son affirmed: The completion and technical energization of the 3 projects will transmit enough electricity for local socio-economic development, solving the problem of supplying electricity for high-tech marine shrimp farming; supplying electricity to existing industrial parks and clusters, industrial parks and clusters planned in the coming period. Especially, releasing the capacity of renewable energy sources for existing wind power plants in Ba Tri, Binh Dai and Thanh Phu districts. Contributing to the successful implementation of the resolution in 2025, which is the last year to complete the targets of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and prepare for the next term.
