In addition to traditional fishing, the aquaculture industry in Song Doc has been transforming towards high technology, increasing the value and sustainability of products.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan, Vice Chairman of Song Doc Town People's Committee, shared: "In recent years, the locality has focused on developing urban infrastructure, especially investing in building a bridge across Ong Doc River, creating favorable conditions for trade, fishing and seafood processing development. The town also focuses on protecting the marine environment, developing the economy associated with sustainable urbanization".

With tireless efforts, in 2024, the Party Committee, government and people of Song Doc town were honored to receive the decision of Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi district, recognizing Song Doc town as meeting civilized urban standards.

With investment attention from all levels, the infrastructure in Song Doc has been changing significantly. The transportation system has been upgraded, the streets have been expanded, the urban landscape is green - clean - beautiful. In particular, the bridge across Ong Doc River has been built, creating an important advantage for the development of the marine economy, elevating the urban area and contributing to promoting the development of the local socio-economy.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Tinh, Director of Trung Tinh LLC, Song Doc town, said: "Since the infrastructure was invested, traveling and transporting goods has become much more convenient. Especially since the Song Ong Doc bridge was completed and put into use, it has helped businesses in the area shorten the distance of transporting goods, thereby saving costs and time. The fishing port is always busy, prices are more stable, and people's lives are better than before."

In addition, the monument complex commemorating the Train to the North was built and completed, becoming an important historical site, enriching the historical values ​​and spiritual life of the coastal people. Mr. Tran Van Quoc, Hamlet 2, Song Doc town, excitedly said: "The construction of the monument complex commemorating the Train to the North is the pride of the Song Doc people. This is not only an important historical site but also a highlight for the spiritual life, educating the younger generation about the heroic traditions of their ancestors".

Along with economic development, the government and people of Song Doc are interested in protecting the marine environment. Movements to clean up, reduce plastic waste, and protect coral reefs are being actively implemented. In addition, cultural and social life has also improved significantly, with the system of schools, hospitals, and cultural centers being increasingly improved, meeting the needs of the people.

The Nghinh Ong Song Doc Festival is a cultural and religious feature of the coastal residents of Song Doc.

Today, the traditional values ​​of the fishing village are still preserved through cultural activities and fishing festivals. Movements of solidarity and mutual assistance in life have created a strong community.

Song Doc town is developing rapidly, moving towards a civilized and modern coastal city.
