The series of events includes: Vietnam-China Business Dialogue; Photo Exhibition “75 Years of Vietnam-China Relations” and “History of Relations between Vietnam and Guangdong Province”; Ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and at the same time organize the Spring Homeland Tet At Ty 2025 program for overseas Vietnamese in Guangdong.
The ceremony was attended by more than 500 guests, including the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Zhang Guozhi, Deputy Secretary General of the Guangzhou Municipal Government Huang Guanglie, Consuls General of ASEAN countries in Guangzhou, leaders of 17 Foreign Affairs Bureaus of Guangdong Province's cities, representatives of 25 departments, agencies and sectors of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, leaders of many associations and enterprises, Guangdong Provincial Television, and representatives of more than 20 organizations, research institutes and a large number of overseas Vietnamese and international students living, working and studying in the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung affirmed the importance of the Vietnam-China relationship in Vietnam's foreign policy, highlighting the results demonstrating the dynamism and substance of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Guangdong province, especially the achievements in the fields of investment, trade, and cooperation between localities of the two sides. At the same time, the Consul General also expressed his deep gratitude to all Chinese and Vietnamese friends and comrades who have made great contributions and dedication to fostering the traditional friendship "both comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China.
According to Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung, the friendship between the two countries in general and between Vietnam and Guangdong in particular is a valuable asset that needs to be cherished, preserved and continued to be cultivated and promoted by future generations.

At the ceremony, the Consul General sent a message about the significance of the Homeland Spring program - a special event held annually, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party and State leaders and compatriots nationwide for our overseas Vietnamese. The Consul General hopes that overseas Vietnamese and students studying in Guangdong will continue to promote the role of "people's ambassadors" to promote Vietnamese cultural values abroad, and form a network of friendship ambassadors with other countries, as President Ho Chi Minh once instructed.

For his part, Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Truong Quoc Tri affirmed that China highly values its relationship with Vietnam and always considers Vietnam a priority in its neighboring foreign policy.
According to Ms. Truong Quoc Tri, in recent years, under the direction of the General Secretaries of the two Parties, the relationship between the two countries has entered a new era of building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China, which has strategic significance.
She emphasized that Guangdong province has been an active force participating in and promoting the consolidation of traditional friendship as well as the practical and dynamic cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam is currently the largest trade partner and the largest investment destination of Guangdong province among ASEAN countries. The total trade turnover between Vietnam and Guangdong will reach 56.3 billion USD in 2024, an increase of 16.6% over the same period in 2023, continuing to account for more than 20% of the total trade turnover between Vietnam and China.
Entering 2025 - a very meaningful milestone in the relationship between the two countries, based on the existing foundations, the leaders of Guangdong province hope that the two sides will continue to implement high-level agreements and common perceptions, promote bilateral relations in the direction of "6 more", bringing new meanings to the traditional relationship of "both comrades and brothers" in the new era.

At the ceremony, through the photo exhibitions “75 years of Vietnam-China relations” and “History of relations between Vietnam and Guangdong province”, many Chinese friends and overseas Vietnamese and students were moved by the close friendship between President Ho Chi Minh and the previous leaders of the Communist Party of China, and reviewed the meaningful journey that the two Parties and peoples have gone through. At the same time, the delegates believed in the development prospects of the Vietnam-China bilateral relations in general and the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Guangdong in particular in the coming time.

On the occasion of Tet, the Consulate General has built a cultural corner called “Tet Viet” with trays of five fruits, banh chung, banh tet, traditional and typical Vietnamese products and dishes to bring a cozy atmosphere to overseas Vietnamese people living far from their homeland. At the same time, it is also to introduce to international friends the traditional cultural features of the traditional Vietnamese New Year, and promote products from major Vietnamese brands such as Trung Nguyen, TH.

On this occasion, overseas Vietnamese and international friends also enjoyed many special performances by Vietnamese and Chinese artists. The elaborate performances showcased the beauty of each country's culture, while also sending a message of solidarity and friendship between the two countries' young generations.

Previously, on the morning of January 16, within the framework of the program, the Consulate General organized for delegates from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Nam provinces and Vietnamese enterprises to offer incense and flowers at the tomb of martyr Pham Hong Thai and visit Hoang Hoa Cuong park.
The delegates expressed their emotions when participating in the activity to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of Vietnam and China during the revolutionary periods. After that, the delegation continued to participate in the Seminar program to meet and connect between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises.
