This morning, on the occasion of the 57th Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (8/8/1967 - 8/8/2022), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a formal ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony in 2024 at the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs (No. City of Hanoi) The ceremony was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hoang Viet, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Labour - Injured and Social Affairs, ambassadors, diplomats, representatives from ASEAN embassies in Hanoi.

Immediately after the speech of Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hoang Viet, a solemn flag-raising ceremony was carried out by the military ceremonial team.

The ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony is held annually on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding day of ASEAN 8/8, which represents a united, unified, strong and dynamic regional organization that plays a central role in mechanisms, cooperation processes in the region, contributes to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world. 

At the end of the flag-raising ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hoang Viet took a photo with ambassadors from ASEAN countries and local and international guests.

During the implementation phase of ASEAN Community Vision 2025, ASEAN focused on implementing master plans across all three pillars including: Politically - Security, Economy and Culture - Society; expand and deepen foreign relations, strengthen ASEAN's central role in the shaping regional structure while enhancing connectivity and narrowing development gaps.
