This is not only the largest-scale admissions consulting event ever, but also has special significance as the first batch of students studying under the 2018 General Education Program enters the high school graduation exam. Changes in admission methods and labor market requirements require students to have a clear orientation.
The biggest admissions consulting event ever
The 2025 Admissions and Career Counseling Day, held at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology campus on the morning of March 16, is the largest-scale event ever.
With nearly 300 consulting booths from more than 100 domestic and foreign training institutions, the program has attracted the attention of tens of thousands of students, parents and teachers across the country. Compared to 2024, the scale of the festival has increased by nearly 30% in terms of the number of booths and participating schools.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son emphasized: "This year's festival marked the largest scale ever, with the participation of nearly 20,000 students, nearly 90 universities, colleges and intermediate schools with 295 consulting booths. This not only demonstrates the attraction of the program, but also shows the deep concern of society for career orientation for students."

Guide to Choosing a Career: Minimizing the Risk of Choosing the Wrong Path
2025 marks the first year of students studying under the 2018 General Education Program to take the high school graduation exam. This means changes in exam content, admission methods, as well as new requirements from universities. At the fair, students have the opportunity to learn accurate information about admission methods, adjustments in the 2025 high school graduation exam, as well as industries and occupations with high demand in the labor market.
Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son emphasized the importance of admissions counseling: "The admissions counseling festival not only helps students better understand their interests and abilities, but also reduces the situation of choosing the wrong major or school - a problem that has caused a waste of time, effort and resources of families and society. In the context of a rapidly changing labor market, students need support to make the right decisions, suitable to their abilities and development trends."
Exchange activities with experts, lecturers, and alumni also help students have a clearer direction for their studies and career paths.

Skills needed for future success
In addition to choosing a suitable career, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son also reminded students about the important skills they need to equip themselves with: "You should practice foreign language skills to integrate internationally, digital skills to master technology, critical thinking to solve problems and a spirit of lifelong learning to continuously improve. You are not only today's learners but also the ones who lead innovation and create the future of the country tomorrow."
