On the afternoon of August 1, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa chaired an online meeting to listen to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related departments and branches report and propose on the Project to preserve, restore and promote the value of historical and cultural relics in Long An province.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh briefly reported on the Project to restore, embellish and promote the value of historical and cultural relics.

Currently, Long An has 126 historical-cultural relics and 3 historical cultural works. With the support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and former leaders of the Central Government, ministries and branches, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism actively coordinates with the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to carry out social work, mobilize social resources to participate in the restoration, embellishment and promotion of the value of relics in the province with a total budget of about 100 billion VND.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh briefly reported on the Project to restore, embellish and promote the value of historical and cultural relics; at the same time, answered opinions and questions from relevant departments, branches and localities on the management and conservation of historical relics.

During the meeting, leaders of relevant departments and branches reported on the current status of conservation and promotion of the value of the historical and cultural relic system in Long An province. At the same time, they proposed systematic conservation orientations to contribute to building Long An into an attractive tourist destination and raising people's awareness and responsibility for protecting relics and preserving national cultural heritage.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa requested that departments, branches and localities overcome limitations in the work of preserving and maintaining relics; clearly define a detailed roadmap for preserving and restoring historical relics in each stage; clearly determine the order of priority in the work of preserving and restoring to promote the value of the works in economic, cultural and social life construction.
