On January 17, Mr. Vu Le Thai Hoang visited Mr. Ernst Woller, President of the Vienna State Parliament, on the occasion of his recent appointment as Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Austria.

President Ernst Woller warmly congratulated Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang on his assignment in Austria. The two sides discussed prospects and specific activities to promote multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Austria in general, and between the two capitals of Hanoi and Vienna in particular, based on the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Mr. Woller said that he and his wife had visited Vietnam in a personal capacity and expressed good impressions of the country, Vietnamese people and Vietnam's socio-economic achievements in recent years.

Appreciating the contributions of the Vietnamese community living in Vienna, Mr. Ernst Woller affirmed his willingness to increase contact with Hanoi City to exchange experiences in urban management and development and local business exchanges.

Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang thanked President Ernst Woller for the warm and thoughtful reception he received.

Informing about Vietnam's development situation, affirming the country's determination to enter a new era of growth, prosperity and wealth, the Ambassador proposed a number of areas of cooperation in which Vienna has strengths and Vietnam has needs such as science and technology, innovation, urban planning, smart cities and monument conservation.

The Ambassador also suggested that the city of Vienna encourage young state lawmakers to strengthen connections with Vietnam, while creating conditions for businesses from both sides to meet and explore cooperation possibilities.

Vienna city has an area of ​​about 420 km 2 , is the capital and also a state of the Republic of Austria. Vienna has a population of 2 million people and is the 5th largest city in the European Union.

The city is famous for its historical and cultural architectural works such as Schönbrunn Palace, the Old Town, the National Opera House, the Museum of Art History... For many years, Vienna has been continuously ranked as the most livable city in the world.
