From April 25 to 28, the interdisciplinary inspection team to inspect and evaluate food safety and hygiene and private medical and pharmaceutical practice and cosmetics in Thanh Ha district inspected 32 establishments selling medicine, milk, and health protection foods in the district.

After inspection, the delegation suspended the operations of 6 pharmaceutical and health food businesses until they had complete documents and met the conditions to resume operations.

The facilities whose operations were suspended include the following pharmacies: Hoang Hang (Cam Viet commune), Doi Ha (Thanh An commune), No. 7 (Thanh Quang commune), Le Lan (Vinh Cuong commune), Phuc Minh (Thanh Hai commune) and the suspension of advertising, product introduction, and sale of functional foods of HN Korea Company Limited (Thanh Ha town).

The delegation assigned the People's Committee of Tan Viet commune to draw up a record of violations against Duc Minh Chau pharmacy because the owner and the person in charge of professional responsibility were not present at the place of business and selling medicine to the people.

These establishments were suspended because they did not have a business license, did not have a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business, did not have a pharmacy practice certificate (GPP) or had one but it had expired; did not have a practice certificate; the signboard was not in accordance with regulations, the drug price list, invoices, documents, and records of drug purchases and sales were not kept in full; the person in charge of the profession was absent but the establishment was still operating. Some owners of milk, health food, and functional food establishments had not been trained in food safety knowledge, and their price lists were not complete.
