- On the night of April 17, 2025, while pursuing drug traffickers, Major Nguyen Dang Khai - Officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police heroically sacrificed himself. While people across the country are heartbroken and mourning this sacrifice and loss and indignant at the reckless behavior of the criminals, there have been a number of cases of posting false information on the internet, causing outrage in public opinion.

Through understanding the situation, on April 19, 2025, the Internal Political Security Department, Lang Son Provincial Police discovered that two Facebook account owners had commented with false information, causing outrage, insulting the reputation and honor of the Police force in a report reflecting "ANTV reporter choked up, unable to hold back tears when mentioning his fallen comrade during the attack to suppress crime" posted on the same day on the Facebook page "BEAT LANG SON". In the comment section of the article, while everyone sympathized and expressed their condolences, the two Facebook accounts "Hoang Thuong" and "Hoang Hieu" had false comments, showing indifference, apathy, causing outrage on the internet: "What a good actor, why don't people cry when they cry", "Has this woman been electrocuted yet?"

Immediately after discovering the information, the Internal Political Security Department, Provincial Police verified, clarified and worked with the two Facebook account owners: HVT, born in 1992, residing in Dong Mo town, Chi Lang district and HTQH, born in 1990, residing in Hoa Binh commune, Chi Lang district. At the meeting, both cases admitted that due to their own lack of awareness and not having researched the information related to the report, they commented on offensive content and were fully aware that this was a wrongful act, and at the same time, they took responsibility for the violation. Currently, the Internal Political Security Department, Lang Son Provincial Police has prepared a file to handle according to the provisions of the law.

People are requested to notify the police when discovering false or malicious information on the Internet; not to post, comment on or share articles with negative or false content, inciting violence or social evils, and to strictly comply with the provisions of the law.
