- On the afternoon of April 23, the People's Council of Cao Loc district, term XXI, 2021-2026, held the 22nd session (special session) to review and agree on a number of contents under its authority related to adjusting the names of newly formed communes after the rearrangement.

At the meeting, delegates heard a summary report on the results of organizing the collection of voters' opinions on adjusting the names of newly formed communes after the rearrangement; a report of the District People's Committee on adjusting the names of newly formed communes after the rearrangement and a report on the verification of the content of the report.

Previously, on the morning of April 23, the District People's Committee directed 6 communes of Thanh Loa, Loc Yen, Thach Dan, Hoa Cu, Hai Yen, and Cong Son to collect voters' opinions on adjusting the names of the new communes after the arrangement. Immediately after that, the People's Councils of the 6 communes held a thematic meeting to pass a resolution to adjust the names of the newly formed communes after the arrangement.

Based on the results of the voter consultation and the results of the thematic session of the People's Council of the communes, the District People's Committee submitted to the District People's Council for consideration to adjust the names of the new communes after the rearrangement. Specifically, the name of Cao Loc 1 commune was adjusted to Cao Loc commune (established on the basis of the rearrangement of 3 communes Thanh Loa, Loc Yen, Thach Dan) and the name of Cao Loc 2 commune was adjusted to Cong Son commune (established on the basis of the rearrangement of 3 communes Hoa Cu, Hai Yen, Cong Son).

After research and discussion, the district People's Council delegates agreed and voted to pass a resolution on adjusting the names of the newly formed communes after the arrangement.

Thus, after the arrangement, the names of commune-level administrative units in Cao Loc district include: Dong Dang commune (established on the basis of arranging Dong Dang town and 4 communes Bao Lam, Thuy Hung, Phu Xa, Hong Phong), Cao Loc commune (established on the basis of arranging 3 communes Thanh Loa, Thach Dan, Loc Yen), Cong Son commune (established on the basis of arranging 3 communes Hoa Cu, Hai Yen, Cong Son), Ba Son commune (established on the basis of arranging Mau Son commune, Cao Lau commune, Xuat Le commune).
