The event attracted many artisans and people from villages and hamlets of 9 districts, towns and cities in the province - people with good skills in the fields of weaving, brocade weaving and processing traditional dishes of ethnic minorities.
In the weaving competition, artisans participated with many sophisticated products, from traditional baskets with wooden bases, trays with a diameter of 40cm to stylized souvenir products such as handbags, flower vases, and small souvenir baskets.
For the brocade weaving competition, products with strong indigenous cultural features include men's scarves, small scarves, wallets, handbags with straps, scarves, and tablecloths.
Each artist must submit one finished product for display and one 70% finished product to demonstrate the traditional crafting process. The organizers will score both the finished and submitted products based on the following criteria: practicality, tradition, aesthetics, creativity, and will ask questions about the techniques used to make the products.
The culinary competition was also colorful with the requirement to prepare a traditional meal of ethnic minorities. The meal must have typical dishes such as bamboo rice, grilled chicken, grilled fish, grilled meat, stir-fried noodles with bitter eggplant, stir-fried or boiled vegetables, soup, rice wine and local fruits. Through each dish, the teams must introduce the sophistication and richness of the cuisine of their village.

The Organizing Committee will award first, second and third prizes for each competition category with values of 4 million VND, 3 million VND and 2 million VND each, respectively.
The contest is organized to concretize the task of developing rural tourism associated with building new rural areas, while promoting the strengths of traditional occupations and cuisine of ethnic minorities in the area in tourism development.
