(HTV) - The 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress is a meaningful occasion to honor exemplary team members, celebrate important historical milestones, spread patriotism, and arouse pride in the young generation of the City.

On the morning of April 6, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council organized the 2025 Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress with the theme: "50 years - Spring flowers of the country, our Young Pioneers continue". This is a meaningful activity to practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (1975 - 2025), the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Le Van Tam Young Pioneers - the first Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Standing Committee of the City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council organized the 2025 Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress with the theme: "50 years - Spring flowers of the country, our Young Pioneers continue"

Attending the Congress were former Vice President Truong My Hoa; Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; former leaders of the city through the periods; and 500 delegates of Uncle Ho's Good Children, representing more than 800,000 team members and children in the city.

As one of the first members of the Le Van Tam Team in Ho Chi Minh City, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Liem - former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music - could not hide her emotions when returning to attend this special Congress. She shared: "Although 50 years have passed, the generation of team members honored as Uncle Ho's Good Children like us are always proud and take that as motivation to continue to strive and contribute to our beloved City."

The atmosphere of the Congress was even more exciting with the return of singer Ngoc Linh - who had performed at the previous Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress. Ms. Ngoc Linh emotionally expressed: "This time, I have the opportunity to sing again, performing the song that is associated with my childhood memories. I hope that today's children will continue the precious tradition of patriotism of the nation."

500 delegates attending the Congress were selected from typical Youth Unions in districts, towns, Thu Duc City, City Children's House, Red Scarf Publication Group (Tuoi Tre Newspaper), Center for Youth Science and Technology Development, along with children at Thu Duc Youth Village and Tam Binh Child Care and Protection Center (City Youth Volunteer Force).

Within the framework of the Congress, many exciting activities also took place such as: Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team Ceremony Contest, Campaign Assembly "I am a soldier of Uncle Ho's City Liberation Army", "Young Pioneers of Ho Chi Minh City" Day in 2025.

Tran Linh Lan, a student at Tran Quang Co Primary School (District 12), happily shared: “My friends and I practiced very hard for today’s reenactment and parade. This is an extremely memorable experience!” Huynh Anh Thu, a student at Nguyen Du Secondary School (Go Vap), expressed her honor: “I am very happy to receive the title of Uncle Ho’s Good Child. I will try to study even better to be worthy of this noble title.”

According to Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran - Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council, this Congress is not only an opportunity to honor exemplary young pioneers in the movement "City's Children follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings", but also a place to connect generations of Uncle Ho's Good Children delegates of the city through each period, from 1975 to 2025. "We hope this will be a catalyst to spread the spirit of patriotism, the will to rise up and the good traditions of the Young Pioneers organization to the young generations of the city", she affirmed.

Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran - Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council said that the Congress is a place to connect generations of Uncle Ho's Good Children delegates of the city through each period, from 1975 to 2025.

Within the framework of the Congress, many exciting activities took place such as: Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team Ceremony Competition, "I am a soldier of the Liberation Army of Uncle Ho's City" Campaign, "Young Pioneers of Ho Chi Minh City" 2025 Team Day. All of these created a vibrant competitive atmosphere, contributing to affirming the role of the Team organization in educating, training and comprehensively developing children - the future owners of the country.
