The program was staged with artistic performances depicting the great historical value of the Great Spring Victory of 1975. In addition, the performance content also expressed respect for the great achievements that the country has achieved after 50 years of peace and development, especially during the 40 years of renovation. This is also an opportunity to deeply appreciate the renovation of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general, thereby promoting love for the homeland, national pride, and revolutionary tradition under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: “Half a century has passed, but the echoes of the spring of national reunification still resonate, a highlight in the history of the nation. Culture and art are also an important front, contributing to the spring of national reunification on April 30, 1975. Culture not only goes down in history but also connects the past - present - future. Today's art program is like a tribute to the fallen generation, arousing pride and national spirit deep in the hearts of each person so that we can cherish the values of peace, independence and territorial integrity today.”
The program is divided into 3 chapters: The pain of separation and the path to unification, Spring of peace, Spring of a new era.
The performances combine elements of traditional art with modern art, using music, dance and sound and light effects to recreate historical moments, depicting the great achievements of the country after 50 years of unification. In addition, the program also aims to preserve and promote fine traditional culture combined with tourism development; strengthen the great national unity bloc, successfully carry out the country's renovation in the new era.
In the heroic atmosphere and echoes of historical songs, the songs "As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day", "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City", "The country is full of joy" resounded, thousands of spectators waved flags to the proud melody.
'Young person Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai (25 years old, living in Binh Thanh district) expressed: "These heroic songs and historical witness video clips help young people like me have a deeper insight and understanding of the generation of our ancestors, the generation of people who went through the resistance war. The more I understand, the more proud I am to be Vietnamese, born and raised on the resilient S-shaped strip of land."

The story of peace of the country has been preserved by many generations, continuing the heroic history. After 50 years of national reunification, Vietnam has risen strongly, achieving great achievements in all fields: politics, economy, society, national security and defense, foreign affairs... That 50-year journey is a testament to the spirit of solidarity, the strong will and the aspiration to rise of the resilient Vietnamese people. Vietnam is continuing to write the story of aspiration, of innovation, of national character in the new era.
