The 50th anniversary of national reunification had 48 parades and marches, with about 13,000 participants . At 6:30 a.m. on April 30, the parade started at the intersection of Le Duan - Nguyen Binh Khiem to the Reunification Hall and then passed through many streets in District 1.
The specific schedule of the 4 directions is as follows:
-Direction 1: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Loi - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Phu Dong 6-way intersection - Cach Mang Thang Tam. Forces in this direction will gather at Tao Dan Park.
- Direction 2: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Thanh Ton - Nguyen Hue - Me Linh roundabout. The marching groups in this direction gather at Bach Dang Wharf area.
- Direction 3: Le Duan - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Dinh Tien Hoang, ending at the gathering point at Hoa Lu stadium.
-Direction 4: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Hai Ba Trung, forces in this direction will gather at Le Van Tam park.
The ceremony will include a 21-gun salute to the Vietnamese National Anthem. The Air Defense - Air Force will mobilize many Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters, Yak-130 fighter jets and Su-30MK2 fighters to perform.
People can watch the parade through 20 LED screens located on 7 main streets including: Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Loi, Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Dien Bien Phu and Nguyen Dinh Chieu or watch on television, social networking platforms...
To serve the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department announced that vehicles and people are prohibited from entering more than 20 routes in District 1 from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on April 30, including: Ba Son Bridge (from Thu Duc City to District 1), Nguyen Binh Khiem Street (from Nguyen Dinh Chieu to Nguyen Huu Canh). Dinh Tien Hoang (from Nguyen Dinh Chieu to Le Duan), Ton Duc Thang (from Le Duan to the U-turn point in front of 37 Ton Duc Thang), Mac Dinh Chi (from Tran Cao Van to Nguyen Du); Pham Ngoc Thach (from Ho Con Rua roundabout to Notre Dame Cathedral); Hai Ba Trung, Pasteur, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Truong Dinh (from Vo Van Tan to Ly Tu Trong); Nguyen Du (from Ton Duc Thang to Cach Mang Thang 8); Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to the border of Cach Mang Thang 8).
The areas where vehicles and people not on duty are prohibited are still within the limits of the above-mentioned routes, including: Le Duan, Nguyen Van Chiem, Le Quy Don, Huyen Tran Cong Chua, Le Van Huu, Han Thuyen, Alexandre De Rhodes, Cong Xa Paris, Dang Tran Con, Thu Khoa Huan, Nguyen Trung Truc, Dong Khoi...
The HCM City Traffic Police Department has also provided alternative routes for people during the vehicle ban hours. Based on the actual situation, the authorities will direct traffic to minimize congestion.
