Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai criticized the heads of the following units: Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Science and Technology, and the City Development Research Institute, for not completing their tasks, being slow in advising and reporting on planned contents that need to be submitted to the City People's Council in 2023.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to departments and branches to urgently complete the documents to be submitted at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council meeting.
Accordingly, after listening to the report on the progress of the contents prepared to be submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council at the meeting scheduled to be held in January, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai criticized the heads of the following units: Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Science and Technology, and the City Development Research Institute for not completing their tasks, being slow in advising, and reporting on the contents that have been planned to be submitted to the City People's Council in 2023.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the assigned units to take the lead in advising on the contents, especially the contents of implementing Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City. The units proactively prepare and promptly complete all documents in accordance with the process and achieve quality in the shortest time.
In the immediate future, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department of Planning and Investment will urgently complete the dossier of the contents expected to be submitted to the City People's Council at the meeting taking place in January 2024. The contents include 5 legal resolutions, 7 individual resolutions, including 3 reports on the implementation of Resolution 98 to ensure quality and on schedule. The agencies must submit to the City People's Committee before January 16 for submission to the City People's Council for consideration and approval at the meeting.
The Department of Justice is assigned to actively coordinate and support departments and branches to ensure that documents comply with legal procedures and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and decision if there are any problems.
The Department of Planning and Investment shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport and relevant units to review investment policies for projects using the city's budget; promptly complete all documents to submit to the City People's Committee for consideration, especially projects under the authority of the City People's Committee to decide on investment policies.
The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is assigned to strengthen monitoring and urging the units to take charge of developing reports, reviewing and submitting them to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee, and submitting them to the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to promptly report to the City People's Committee for direction of implementation.
