According to the resolution, on the basis of 111 current commune-level administrative units (including 86 communes, 20 wards and 5 towns), they will be rearranged into 40 new commune-level administrative units, of which 2 communes will maintain their current status: Dak O commune and Bu Gia Map commune.

The reason for Dak O and Bu Gia Map communes to remain in their current state and not to be reorganized is to ensure the criteria on area and population size. Not merging ensures stability in the organization of the administrative apparatus and is consistent with the specific characteristics of the locality. The commune has a large area, a strategic location near the border area, and an uneven population distribution, in which a large proportion of ethnic minorities live.

40 NEW COMMUNE-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS INCLUDE:  

1. Establishing Binh Phuoc ward on the basis of merging 6 commune-level administrative units including Tan Phu ward, Tan Dong ward, Tan Thien ward, Tan Binh ward, Tan Xuan ward and Tien Hung commune of Dong Xoai city. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located at: Dong Xoai city administrative center.
2. Establish Dong Xoai ward on the basis of merging two commune-level administrative units including Tan Thanh commune and Tien Thanh ward of Dong Xoai city. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Tien Thanh ward.
3. Establishing Phuoc Binh ward on the basis of merging 4 commune-level administrative units including Binh Son commune of Phu Rieng district and Long Giang commune, Long Phuoc ward, Phuoc Binh ward of Phuoc Long town. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located at: Phuoc Long town administrative center.
4. Establishing Phuoc Long ward on the basis of merging 4 commune-level administrative units including Long Thuy ward, Thac Mo ward, Son Giang ward and Phuoc Tin commune of Phuoc Long town. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Long Thuy ward.
5. Establishing Binh Long ward on the basis of merging 4 commune-level administrative units including An Loc ward, Hung Chien ward, Phu Duc ward of Binh Long town and Thanh Binh commune of Hon Quan district. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located at: Binh Long town administrative center.
6. Establish An Loc ward on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including Phu Thinh ward, Thanh Phu commune and Thanh Luong commune of Binh Long town. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Thanh Phu commune.
7. Minh Hung ward was established on the basis of merging two commune-level administrative units including Minh Long ward and Minh Hung ward of Chon Thanh town. The administrative unit's headquarters is located in Minh Hung ward.
8. Establishment of Chon Thanh ward on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including Hung Long ward, Thanh Tam ward and Minh Thanh ward of Chon Thanh town. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located at: Chon Thanh town administrative center.
9. Establish Nha Bich commune on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including Nha Bich commune, Minh Thang commune and Minh Lap commune of Chon Thanh town. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Minh Thang commune.
10. Establish Tan Quan commune on the basis of merging 4 commune-level administrative units including Quang Minh commune of Chon Thanh town and Tan Quan, Phuoc An and Tan Loi communes of Hon Quan district. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Phuoc An commune.
11. Establish Tan Hung commune on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including Tan Hung commune, An Khuong commune and Thanh An commune of Hon Quan district. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Tan Hung commune.
12. Establish Tan Khai commune on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including Tan Khai town, Dong No commune and Tan Hiep commune of Hon Quan district. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located at: Hon Quan district administrative center.
13. Minh Duc commune was established on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units including An Phu commune, Minh Tam commune and Minh Duc commune of Hon Quan district. The administrative unit's headquarters is located in Minh Tam commune.
14. Establish Loc Thanh commune on the basis of merging two commune-level administrative units including Loc Thanh commune and Loc Thinh commune of Loc Ninh district. The headquarters of the administrative unit is located in Loc Thanh commune.

The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province is assigned to complete the dossier of the Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
