To celebrate the 30th anniversary of VIMC, on April 18, VIMC Youth Union organized a Dialogue Program between the Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors and youth union members, with the theme: "Impact of transformation - green transformation in the era of national growth with the young generation of VIMC".

Attending the program at the main bridge: Comrade Le Anh Son - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Comrade Doan Thi Thu Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Le Quang Trung - Deputy General Director; Comrade Pham Van Hai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union; Comrade Le Dong - Director of the IT Center; Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of the Trade Union Center; Comrade Dang Huy Cuong - Secretary of the Youth Union; leaders of Party Committees, Professional Committees, key officials of the youth union members of the affiliated Youth Unions and the enterprises participating in the online bridge.

Opening the program, Mr. Le Quang Trung - Deputy General Director of VIMC shared the topic "Green transformation - Digital transformation: The foundation for a sustainable maritime supply chain". Thereby, he emphasized the essential role of green transformation and digital transformation in reshaping the global supply chain, as well as the importance of young people in leading this innovation process at VIMC.

Next, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of VIMC Transformation Center presented the topic "VIMC's transformation journey", introducing the general strategic steps that the Corporation is taking, initial achievements and expectations in the coming period. The practical developments of this journey have shown that the companionship and proactive participation of the young staff is the key factor to success.

During the dialogue, the open and democratic atmosphere created conditions for youth union members to frankly express their thoughts and propose initiatives related to the following areas: applying new technology in operations, reducing emissions in port operations, logistics and maritime transport, and promoting a comprehensive "green" operation process.

Chairman Le Anh Son emphasized: “Young people need to be dynamic, enthusiastic, adapt quickly and act quickly, promote the pioneering role in every small action, spread the Kaizen spirit, and proactively transform in the Youth Union organization and at the enterprise with the following goals: innovating the business department, centralizing data, building policies to attract high-quality human resources; taking digital transformation - green transformation as a development condition, based on practical needs and originating from the enthusiasm and internal strength of each union member.”

Many questions and frank opinions were raised by the union members, revolving around topics such as: opportunities for training in transferable skills, technology application, policies to promote initiatives, etc. These contents were directly answered, acknowledged and committed to be included in the specific action program in the coming time by the leaders of VIMC. Not only stopping at the exchange, the program is also a strong call to all union members and young people to transform in the era of national development.

Launching the "2nd VIMC Youth Innovation Festival 2025"

In particular, at the program, the Standing Committee of the Corporation's Youth Union officially launched the "2nd VIMC Youth Innovation Festival in 2025". The event aims to strongly arouse the spirit of innovation among VIMC's youth union members; create an intellectual playground, promote initiatives and practical solutions, and make practical contributions to the digital transformation and green transformation process of VIMC.

Also within the framework of the program, the Corporation's Youth Union held a ceremony to hand over the Decision to establish the Youth Union of VIMC Container Transport Joint Stock Company. The establishment of the new Youth Union continues to affirm the important role of the Youth Union in accompanying the development of the enterprise, while expanding the network of Youth Union activities, promoting the effectiveness of political and ideological education, and professional expertise for youth union members in the new situation.

The dialogue program ended with confidence, determination and enthusiasm, promising strong and sustainable development steps of VIMC youth towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Shipping Lines.
