The program aims to honor and clarify the role and contributions of the Youth Volunteer Force, especially the Capital Youth Volunteer Force, in the resistance war against America to save the country.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Chairman of the Hanoi Veterans Association, emphasized that the historic victory in the spring of 1975 was the result of the spirit of great national unity, the will that "nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", and the achievement of generations of Vietnamese people who were willing to sacrifice their youth, blood and bones for the Fatherland.
In particular, the Vietnamese Youth Volunteers in general and the Hanoi Capital Youth Volunteers in particular have made important contributions, with the spirit of "living on the bridge, on the road, dying bravely and steadfastly", ensuring the traffic arteries to the front line, contributing to victories on the battlefield.

The delegates together recalled memories and telling numbers: More than 280,000 young people joined the Youth Volunteer Force to fight against the US and save the country from the very beginning.
The Capital Youth Volunteers alone have more than 300 people remaining on the battlefield, thousands of people injured and infected with toxic chemicals. These are vivid proofs of the brave spirit, who devoted their youth to the cause of national liberation.

At the conference, the presentations of leaders, experts and former Youth Volunteers themselves further clarified the historical role of the Youth Volunteers in the resistance war, that the Youth Volunteers are a symbol of revolutionary spirit, ready to venture into the most arduous and fierce places for the cause of national liberation. The Youth Volunteers are truly a monument that shines forever in history, a source of inspiration for today's and future generations.
The speeches of former Youth Volunteers who directly participated in the battle also brought touching and authentic stories about the years of fighting on the front lines, with many recommendations on continuing to care for policies and renovate memorial sites for Youth Volunteers such as Ben Phe Khuyen Luong (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi), a red address associated with the silent feats of the Capital's Youth Volunteers.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Than Duc Nam, Hero of Labor, Party Cell Secretary, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, emphasized that the war has long since ended, but the qualities of the Youth Volunteers still shine in today's life.
Despite their old age and poor health, the former Youth Volunteers still actively contribute to society and are shining examples in educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions. He expressed his deep gratitude and affirmed that the Party, State and people always remember the contributions and silent sacrifices of the former Youth Volunteers for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
