On the afternoon of April 29, in Ho Chi Minh City, General Secretary To Lam received a delegation of leaders and representatives of political parties from various countries who came to Vietnam to attend the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

General Secretary To Lam was joined by many Party and State leaders. On the international side, there were leaders and representatives of political parties from many countries in Asia, Europe, America and Africa.

Expressing their honor and joy to be present at the historic Anniversary Ceremony, the leaders and representatives of political parties of various countries warmly congratulated the Party, State and People of Vietnam, and thanked the invitation and the solemn, sincere and thoughtful reception of the Communist Party of Vietnam, General Secretary To Lam personally and the Vietnamese people.

Speaking on behalf of the political parties of the countries, the Heads of the Delegations of China, Mongolia, Japan, the Dominican Republic and France highlighted the great victory of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh; emphasizing that this is not only the victory of the heroic Vietnamese people but also the common victory of progressive, peace-loving humanity in the world and also a contribution to peace and development in the region. Highlighting the strength of international solidarity and the friendship and attachment to the Party, State and people of Vietnam, a delegate was moved to recall the figurative message in the poem "The Big Stone" written by President Ho Chi Minh in 1942: "Knowing how to join forces, knowing how to unite, no matter how difficult, can be accomplished".

Looking back on the past, leaders and representatives of political parties expressed their admiration for the important achievements that Vietnam has made after 50 years of unification as well as Vietnam's increasingly high position in the international arena, emphasizing that Vietnam has become a model of development, social progress and international solidarity; strongly supporting the efforts of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in national development and anti-corruption; expressing deep confidence in the correct guidelines and leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam, the Vietnamese people will certainly successfully achieve the goals set for the milestones of 2030 and 2045, towards the important milestones of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country. Appreciating Vietnam's correct foreign policy, representatives of political parties of various countries also emphasized their desire to further strengthen the tradition of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between parties and the Communist Party of Vietnam as well as between states and peoples and the Vietnamese people.

Warmly welcoming the international guests, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always respect and remember the solidarity, attachment and valuable support and assistance that political parties, states, governments and international friends have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and reunification and in the current cause of national construction and defense.

Highlighting the historical significance of the victory on April 30, 1975, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that this was a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, the greatest achievement of the cause of national liberation and reunification of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and beloved President Ho Chi Minh. It was a victory and a living symbol of the aspiration for peace and the will of "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", of the strength of great national unity, as well as of the pure and noble spirit of international solidarity and of the conscience of people and progressive people around the world. General Secretary To Lam said that the historic victory on April 30, 1975 of the Vietnamese people had great contributions from progressive people and peace-loving friends around the world, including political parties from countries attending the commemoration ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that 2025 is also the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. General Secretary To Lam affirmed that after 50 years of the Liberation of the South, from a country devastated by war, Vietnam has become a symbol of peace, stability, and deep and comprehensive integration into world politics, the global economy and human civilization. General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam is standing at a new historical starting point - a new era, an era of national development and growth. The Party, State and People of Vietnam are aiming to realize strategic development goals until 2030 and 2045, fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's wish of "building a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam and making a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause".

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam consistently supports political parties and social progressive movements around the world in the struggle for the common goals of the times, and wishes to expand and deepen relations between political parties, enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese people and people of countries around the world. The Party, State and people of Vietnam wish to continue receiving support and close cooperation from political parties, friends and peace-loving people around the world in the cause of national construction and development, and continue to consolidate and deepen the traditional relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and political parties in an increasingly practical and effective manner.

The meeting took place in a solemn atmosphere, full of comradeship and brotherhood. Along with this meaningful meeting, within the framework of the Anniversary Ceremony, leaders and representatives of political parties will also have many meaningful activities such as offering flowers at the Ho Chi Minh President Monument, meeting with Party and State leaders and visiting cultural and historical establishments of Ho Chi Minh City.
