Freeze-dried yogurt products of Quang Nam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Tam My village, Tam Xuan 1 commune, Nui Thanh) are popular with consumers. Each month, the company sells nearly 1,000 boxes of freeze-dried yogurt to the markets of Quang Nam, Da Nang and neighboring areas at a price of 65,000 VND/box.

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Thuy - Company Director said that freeze-dried yogurt is a 3-star OCOP product and is the project that won first prize in the startup competition organized by the Provincial People's Committee in 2024.

Freeze-dried yogurt is improved by Quang Nam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company from traditional yogurt to dry form after drying by clean method with freeze dryer, sterilizer, cold room sterilized by UV...

The special thing about freeze-dried yogurt is that it retains the shape, color, flavor and nutrients of traditional yogurt, while being easy to preserve with a shelf life of up to 1 year.

“From raw materials to processing, canning, and labeling, everything is standardized and follows the clean production direction. Products that are good for consumers’ health are the principles that help us go far in the market,” said Ms. Thuy.

Quang Nam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company also has a green product, Cordyceps. Like freeze-dried yogurt, Cordyceps has also been certified to HACCP standards. This product is available in the market inside and outside the province and has been well received by consumers.

It can be seen that green production methods and environmental protection are being responded to by many businesses and units because this is an inevitable trend. Such as the 3-star OCOP product An Phuc agarwood essential oil of business household Nguyen Tien Phung (Bich Ngo village, Tam Xuan 2 commune, Nui Thanh).

Mr. Phung traveled to many provinces and cities to buy Aquilaria trees, split them, grind them into powder, brew them and cook them to extract An Phuc agarwood essential oil. Currently, this essential oil is available in Thailand and Middle Eastern countries.

"I continue to promote and expand the market for An Phuc agarwood essential oil because the product is popular because it is good for health," said Mr. Phung.

Many OCOP products of Quang Nam from fish sauce, vegetables, medicinal herbs, agarwood, seafood... are mostly produced using organic methods, VietGAP, and are environmentally friendly. The entities cooperate with farmers to create abundant raw material areas, produce in chains, and deeply process goods.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that OCOP products are creating development momentum for rural areas. OCOP products with quality, green, clean have competitive advantages in the market, bring high economic value, and promote agricultural strengths.

“It is worth noting that OCOP products are produced according to strict food safety and quality control procedures. OCOP products are highly appreciated not only for their economic efficiency but also for their environmental friendliness. We encourage the development of OCOP products from natural, environmentally friendly materials,” said Mr. Vu.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, developing green, clean, safe and sustainable OCOP products is the direction of the Quang Nam OCOP program. Provincial agencies will continue to guide and support OCOP entities to develop products according to Global GAP, Organic, GMP, HACCP, ISO standards...

Minimize fresh and raw products. Quang Nam focuses on developing OCOP products in the direction of cooperation and association from production, preliminary processing, processing to consumption of agricultural products to increase value, especially meeting strict quality standards of the market.

Quang Nam OCOP products will publish product quality standards; test quality indicators; trace origin, design packaging and labels according to regulations; especially build a unique green, clean product story to affirm consumer trust.
