On the morning of April 29, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (May 10, 1995 - May 10, 2025) and summarize the emulation movement "Old age, bright example" for the period 2011-2025.

In 1995, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly was established, marking a new development step in the work of mobilizing, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly in the period of national renewal. Since then, the Association has grown steadily, becoming a widespread social organization, a common home for more than 17 million elderly people nationwide.

Along with the development of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Association of the Elderly has made many practical and effective contributions to the cause of building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland. Up to now, the organization system of the Association in the whole province has been consolidated with more than 171 thousand members. The quality of the Association's activities has been increasingly improved, contributing to building a strong grassroots political system, maintaining security and order, and promoting socio-economic development.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Elderly Association at all levels in the province has promoted the emulation movement "Old age, bright example", making many positive contributions in all areas of social life. In economic development, Vinh Phuc province currently has nearly 99,000 healthy elderly people directly participating in production, business services, and traditional occupations.

For the emulation movement "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the elderly have donated land, working days and funds to build public works; maintain environmental sanitation; from 2021-2024, the elderly have donated more than 19,000 m2 of land, contributed more than 91,000 working days and cash to build traffic works, irrigation works, and schools. In any field, the elderly are always exemplary leaders, a shining example for their families, children and society to follow.
