Successful renovation of the 220kV Duc Trong - Da Lat 1 Station line to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day April 30

With a total investment of about 81 billion VND, the project passes through the following localities: Phu Hoi, Hiep Thanh, Hiep An, Lien Nghia town of Duc Trong district; Thanh My commune of Don Duong district; Ward 3, Ward 10 of Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. The project has a total length of over 35.5 km (single-circuit and double-circuit lines), extending from Duc Trong 220kV Station to Da Lat 1 220kV Station.

The project has a scale of over 100 foundations that need to be renovated and expanded, requiring compensation and site clearance on a large scale. With a long scale, over a large area, the project is implemented in complex mountainous terrain conditions, with rain, wind, and landslides, but still ensures progress, quality and absolute safety during construction.

The project has renovated the wiring system, replaced ACSR 240/32 conductor with low loss conductor LL-ACSR/AS 370/320; lightning protection wire; insulation: Reusing existing Polymer insulation, in addition, adding 70kN Polymer insulation for the support porcelain and 120kN, 160kN for the anchor porcelain; the foundation pillars use reinforced concrete foundations; the column system uses galvanized steel columns and 2-circuit single-body tubular steel columns; grounding: Reusing the existing grounding system, radial shape made of round steel combined with grounding piles.

The project was constructed from July 2024 and officially completed and successfully energized on April 29, 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; at the same time, it is a project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Southern Power Corporation. To date, Lam Dong Power Company has completed 2/2 projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Southern Power Corporation.

Putting the project into operation is of utmost importance, contributing to enhancing the reliability of the 110kV grid operation, ensuring safe - stable - continuous power supply for the southern region of Lam Dong province; properly implementing the orientation of the Lam Dong province's power grid development plan for the period 2016 - 2025, with a view to 2035; ensuring power transmission from Duc Trong 230kV Station to Da Lat 1 110kV Station, effectively transmitting power from regional hydropower plants, while reducing power loss and pressure on existing lines, increasing the ability to supply safe and effective power to areas with many customers such as Duc Trong and Da Lat city.
