On August 1st, 2024, VinFast officially delivered the first VF 3 vehicles to customers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, ahead of schedule, thereby creating strong momentum towards achieving the goal of delivering at least 20,000 VF 3 vehicles this year.
The first batch of vehicles was delivered by VinFast to the earliest customers who placed deposits, out of nearly 28,000 orders received in just 66 hours after sales opened in May 2024. This early delivery, less than three months after deposit acceptance, not only demonstrates VinFast's superior production capacity and optimized processes, but also affirms its strong commitment to providing Vietnamese consumers with a modern, stylish electric car at a price affordable to the majority of the population.
The VF 3 is VinFast's first small urban electric car, featuring a two-door design with a square, powerful, and distinctive style. The car boasts a diverse color palette, including four basic colors and five enhanced colors, allowing customers to freely choose their preferred paint color for an additional cost of just 15 million VND.
With dimensions of 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,652 mm (length x width x height), the VF 3 boasts a compact and dynamic appearance, suitable for all driving conditions. The interior space comfortably accommodates four people, thanks to its 2,075 mm wheelbase. The 16-inch alloy wheels increase ground clearance to 191 mm, allowing the car to comfortably navigate various terrains.
The VinFast VF 3 is equipped with a battery pack capable of traveling up to 215 km on a single charge, with the fastest charging time from 10% to 70% in just 36 minutes. The electric motor delivers a maximum power of 30 kW and a maximum torque of 110 Nm, combined with rear-wheel drive (RWD) for acceleration from 0-50 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
Despite belonging to the miniSUV segment, the VF 3 is equipped by VinFast with a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, similar to those found in luxury cars, providing a convenient and impressive user experience. The vehicle also features a driver's airbag, front disc brakes, and safety technologies such as ABS anti-lock braking system, emergency brake assist, and hill-start assist.
The rental price for the VF 3 battery is 240 million VND, while the price with the battery is 322 million VND. If renting the battery, customers only have to pay a fee of 900,000 VND/month for mileage under 1,500 km/month, 1,200,000 VND/month for mileage between 1,500 and 2,500 km/month, and 2,000,000 VND/month for mileage over 2,500 km/month. The vehicle comes with a manufacturer's warranty of up to 7 years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first), while the high-voltage battery has an 8-year warranty with no mileage limit.
Speaking at the handover ceremony of the first batch of VF 3 vehicles, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - General Director of VinFast Vietnam Market said: “We are extremely surprised and grateful for the warm reception from customers nationwide for the VF 3. This is a great motivation for the entire VinFast team to work tirelessly over the past time to perfect the product and improve production capacity so that we can deliver vehicles to customers starting today. We hope to continue receiving the support and trust of a large number of customers in the future, thereby officially making the VF 3 the national electric car for everyone.”
According to the plan, following the first batch of vehicles, VinFast will gradually deliver VF 3 cars to customers who have pre-ordered them at showrooms and distributors nationwide. It is expected that in 2024, VinFast could deliver at least 20,000 VF 3 cars to customers.
