On the afternoon of May 29th, in Hanoi , the Youth Union of Vietnam Television (VTV), in collaboration with C-Hub, organized a training course on the topic "Exploring the Power of AI in Television Program Production." The program attracted over 120 participants in person, along with many other youth union members and young people who followed online.

This activity concretizes Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and also contributes to the implementation of Vietnam Television's digital transformation strategy.
Speaking at the training session, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Dam, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam Television, said that AI is creating profound changes in the field of media and journalism.

“AI is no longer a technology of the future, but has become a practical tool to support journalists today. Equipping youth union members with knowledge and skills in applying AI not only helps improve work efficiency but also contributes to building a dynamic, creative digital media workforce ready to adapt to the changes of the times,” Mr. Nguyen Hoai Dam emphasized.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Dam, the training course is one of the initial activities in a series of cooperation programs between the VTV Youth Union and C-Hub aimed at popularizing digital knowledge and skills for the station's young workforce in the future.

During the program, participants received instruction from Dr. Luong Dong Son, from the Institute of Journalism and Communication, Academy of Journalism and Communication, and a lecturer at the Vietnam Journalists Association. He shared various topics related to modern television production practices, such as building specialized prompts to optimize output; extracting information, verifying data, and transcribing interviews using AI; applying AI in multi-platform content production and distribution; and using AI tools integrated into Adobe Premiere Pro to support post-production and editing.

|
According to Dr. Son, one of the biggest challenges today is the gap between the speed of technological development and the practical application capabilities of users. Therefore, specialized training programs tailored to specific professional fields will be more effective than general AI courses.
|
|
"What I appreciate most about this training course is that the content is specifically designed for the television production environment. The scenarios, examples, and exercises all stem from the real-world work of television reporters, editors, and technicians. When learners see their own problems immediately in the classroom, their ability to apply the knowledge after training will be much higher," shared Dr. Luong Dong Son.
Mr. Bui Trong Lam, Director of C-HUB Education Training and Consulting Company Limited, a Google education partner in Vietnam, believes that journalism and television are among the fields most strongly impacted by the wave of artificial intelligence.
|
|
“The important thing is not whether AI will replace humans or not, but that each person needs to know how to use AI to improve productivity and quality. We hope to collaborate with the VTV Youth Union in building a team of young staff capable of mastering technology, effectively exploiting modern AI platforms to serve their work, and thereby spreading the positive meanings of AI to the community,” Mr. Bui Trong Lam shared.
The training course not only attracted union members and young people, but also received attention from many officials, employees, and workers of Vietnam Television. This shows the growing need to update knowledge of new technologies in the modern journalistic environment.

As one of the participants in the program, editor Nguyen Thanh Hao from the News Department said that the knowledge shared in the class is highly applicable to her daily work.
“Previously, I had used some AI tools, but mostly through self-study. Participating in the training course gave me a more systematic understanding of how to leverage AI in information retrieval, data processing, interview transcription, and optimizing news production processes. The important thing is knowing how to use AI correctly to save time while ensuring accuracy and professional standards,” shared editor Nguyen Thanh Hao.
