"We have had the first discussions about building a Novak Djokovic museum, which is expected to become another tourist attraction of the city," Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.

Djokovic wins gold medal after exciting final at 2024 Olympics
Djokovic has long been considered a living legend in Serbia. The player with a record 24 Grand Slam singles titles has run a tennis academy for many years in Belgrade (where Djokovic was born) and regularly attends sporting events and meets with Serbian officials.
President Aleksandar Vucic added: "Palma de Mallorca has a museum dedicated to Rafael Nadal. We will try to showcase what Djokovic has done for our country in his honour and at the same time attract tourists." The Serbian president said he hoped the museum would be completed before Belgrade hosts the 2027 World Expo.
The announcement comes just days after Djokovic won the men's singles tennis gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. The 37-year-old Serbian defeated Spain's Carlos Alcaraz 7/6 (7-3), 7/6 (7-2) in what was considered his last chance to win Olympic glory.

With the Olympic gold medal, Djokovic has a complete collection of major titles.
This victory helps Djokovic join Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams as the only players to have won all four Grand Slams and the Olympic men's singles gold medal.
Djokovic also became the oldest men's singles champion since tennis returned to the Olympics in 1988. His victory thrilled Serbian fans as people gathered in main squares across the country, waving flags and singing patriotic songs to celebrate Djokovic's achievement.
