Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said: "We have had initial discussions about building a Novak Djokovic museum, which is expected to become another tourist attraction in the city."

Djokovic wins gold medal after thrilling final at the 2024 Olympics.
Djokovic has long been considered a living legend in Serbia. The tennis player, who holds the record for 24 Grand Slam singles titles, ran a tennis academy for many years in Belgrade (where Djokovic was born) and regularly attended sporting events and met with Serbian officials.
President Aleksandar Vucic added: "Palma de Mallorca has a museum dedicated to Rafael Nadal. We will strive to showcase what Djokovic has done for our country in recognition of his contributions and at the same time attract tourists ." The Serbian president said he hopes the museum will be completed before Belgrade hosts the 2027 World Expo.
This announcement comes just days after Djokovic won the gold medal in men's singles tennis at the 2024 Olympics. The 37-year-old Serbian defeated Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) 7/6 (7-3), 7/6 (7-2) in what was considered his last chance to win Olympic glory.

With the Olympic gold medal, Djokovic has completed his collection of major titles.
This victory puts Djokovic alongside Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Steffi Graf, and Serena Williams as the only players to have won all four Grand Slam tournaments and the Olympic gold medal in men's singles.
Djokovic also became the oldest men's singles champion since tennis returned to the Olympics in 1988. His victory thrilled Serbian fans, with people gathering in major squares across the country, waving flags and singing patriotic songs to celebrate Djokovic's achievement.
