According to actual records, many sections of Provincial Road 1 have been degraded and severely damaged. For example, the section through Quang Tan and Dak R'tih communes, Tuy Duc district, has many locations with "elephant potholes" and "buffalo potholes" as wide as a meter, as deep as a wheel, the asphalt surface is peeling, bare rocks. Every time a vehicle passes, dust flies up, making the local people very upset.

Many locations on Provincial Road 1 are severely degraded. |
This degraded route not only affects people's business and daily life, but also causes vehicles to quickly break down, takes longer to transport goods, and consumes more fuel, increasing operating costs.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Tuan (residing in Hamlet 2, Dak R'tih Commune) said that the road has been degraded for a long time. On sunny days, dust covers all the houses. Although it is repaired every year, after a short time, the road seriously degrades again.

The degraded road poses a potential traffic safety risk. |
Provincial Road 1 is a vital traffic route, connecting Tuy Duc district with Dak R'lap district, playing an important role in the circulation of goods, promoting socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense in the Tuy Duc border area. However, due to the sharp increase in the volume of heavy trucks, sleeper buses, and dump trucks in recent years, while annual maintenance and repair work is limited and patchy, the road has been seriously damaged.
To overcome the above situation, Tuy Duc District People's Committee has sent a request to Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) to request funding for upgrading and repairing, which has been approved and is awaiting further procedures.
People are miserable because Provincial Road 1 is seriously degraded. |
