During his state visit to India, on the afternoon of July 31st (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation laid wreaths at the bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh in New Delhi.

The Prime Minister and the delegation respectfully paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh before his statue in G20 Park. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his commitment to further deepening, strengthening, and enhancing the effectiveness of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
At the same time, it further deepens the good traditional relationship between the two nations, which has a long history of over 2,000 years, built and nurtured by two great leaders, President Ho Chi Minh and Mahatma Gandhi.
Later, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in India; he also met with embassy staff and the Vietnamese community living and working in the country.

Here, the Vietnamese expatriate community in India expressed their deep sorrow over the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Sharing his thoughts on this matter, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that recently, our country has suffered a great loss with the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. This is a tremendous loss for the Party, the State, and our people.
He said that in recent days, Vietnam has held a national funeral for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and received more than 5,600 domestic and international delegations to pay their respects, including the National Security Advisor representing the Prime Minister of India.
Sharing the special feelings of the people for the General Secretary.
"The affection for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was clearly demonstrated during the national mourning days, when a large number of people lined the streets from the National Funeral Home to Mai Dich Cemetery, the vast majority of whom were young people," the Prime Minister said, adding that this showed the patriotism and responsibility of the younger generation towards the Fatherland and the people.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister hopes that Vietnamese people and the Vietnamese Embassy in India will continue to contribute their efforts to the country's development, both spiritually and materially, and always look towards their homeland.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Party and State's policy and guidelines always prioritize, value, and care for the Vietnamese community abroad, considering them an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation.
The head of government affirmed that he always encourages the contributions of the Vietnamese community in India to the country. The goal is to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, making it even deeper and more effective.
The Prime Minister said that tomorrow (August 1st), during meetings with Indian leaders, he will present some suggestions from the Vietnamese community so that the Government can pay more attention to creating favorable conditions for them to study, live, and work.
