Phuoc Thanh Petroleum Private Enterprise has its head office at 1065 National Highway 22, May Dang Hamlet, Phuoc Thanh Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The company holds Business Registration Certificate No. 0301446503 issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Planning and Investment on September 11, 1997, with the 6th amendment issued on March 30, 2015. It also holds Certificate No. 501 confirming its eligibility to act as a petroleum distributor, issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade on January 28, 2022.
The reason for the revocation is that Phước Thạnh private petroleum enterprise requested, in Official Letter No. 16 dated June 24, 2024, the revocation of its Certificate of Eligibility to act as a petroleum distribution trader.
According to the Domestic Market Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in carrying out state management in the field of petroleum business, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently requested primary and distribution traders to report on maintaining the conditions for being primary and distribution traders of petroleum products as prescribed.
According to reports and reviews, many petroleum distributors have failed to maintain the required conditions for being petroleum distributors, and have proactively returned their certificates. However, the Ministry of Industry and Trade affirms that the return of licenses by businesses does not affect petroleum business operations.
Forecasts for domestic petroleum supply in the last six months of 2024 indicate total production and imports of approximately 12.76 million tons, equivalent to about 15.3 million cubic meters/tons.
Total production and imports for the last six months of 2024 (according to reports from traders) are estimated at approximately 13.3 million cubic meters/tons of various types of petroleum products.
Estimated consumption for the last six months of 2024 is approximately 13.2 million m3/tons (an average of nearly 2.2 million m3/tons per month). Inventory is between 1.8 and 2 million tons. Thus, the supply of petroleum products will be sufficient to meet the needs of the people and manufacturing businesses.
