According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates must complete registration and adjust their admission wishes before 5:00 p.m. on July 30 and pay the admission registration fee online from July 31 to 5:00 p.m. on August 6.
During this time, candidates need to log in to the Ministry of Education and Training system to pay the admission fee. If a candidate successfully registers for admission but forgets or does not pay the fee, he/she will not be considered for university admission.

After successfully paying the fee, the candidate has successfully registered for university admission in 2024. After the specified time, if the candidate has not successfully completed the fee payment step, the previously registered wishes will not be recognized.
After completing the payment of the university admission fee, candidates should note that the virtual screening period will take place from August 13 to August 17. Universities across the country will announce the benchmark scores in the next 2 days.
By 5:00 p.m. on August 19 at the latest, universities and colleges must complete the announcement of benchmark scores and first round of admission results.
Successful candidates must confirm their admission online for the first round on the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission System no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 27. One day later (August 28), schools will announce the additional admission round.
From September to December, schools across the country will review and update the list of successful candidates and enroll according to regulations. By December 31 at the latest, schools must report the 2024 enrollment results.
After receiving the list of successful candidates, candidates should pay attention to confirm their admission according to regulations. While waiting, candidates should prepare necessary documents such as: Notarized transcripts, notarized citizen identification cards, copies of birth certificates, health certificates, ID photos, resumes and some other documents.
This year, more than 733,000 candidates nationwide registered for university admission, an increase of 73,000 candidates compared to last year. Meanwhile, the total number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam was more than 1.07 million. Thus, about 337,000 students gave up their chance to go to university. The rate of candidates dropping out of the admission exam was 31.5%, down 2.6% compared to last year.
