According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates must complete the registration and adjustment of their admission preferences before 5 PM on July 30th and pay the registration fee online from July 31st to 5 PM on August 6th.
During this period, candidates need to log into the Ministry of Education and Training's system to pay the application fee. If a candidate successfully registers for admission but forgets or fails to pay the fee, they will not be considered for university admission.

After successful payment of the application fee, the candidate has successfully registered their university admission preferences for 2024. If the fee payment is not completed within the specified time, any previously registered preferences will not be recognized.
After completing the payment of the university admission fee, candidates should note that the virtual filtering process will take place from August 13th to August 17th. Universities nationwide will announce the cut-off scores within the following two days.
By 5 PM on August 19th at the latest, universities and colleges must complete the announcement of admission scores and results for the first round of admissions.
Successful candidates must confirm their enrollment online in the first round on the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system no later than 5 PM on August 27th. One day later (August 28th), universities will announce the supplementary admissions round.
From September to December, schools nationwide will review and update the list of admitted and enrolled students according to regulations. Schools must report the 2024 admissions results no later than December 31st.
After receiving the list of admitted students, candidates should confirm their enrollment according to regulations. While waiting, candidates should prepare the necessary documents in advance, such as: notarized academic transcripts, notarized citizen identification cards, copies of birth certificates, health certificates, passport-sized photos, resumes, and other relevant documents.
This year, over 733,000 students nationwide registered for university admissions, an increase of 73,000 compared to last year. Meanwhile, the total number of students taking the high school graduation exam was over 1.07 million. Thus, approximately 337,000 students missed the opportunity to attend university. The percentage of students who dropped out of the university admissions process was 31.5%, a decrease of 2.6% compared to last year.
