On the afternoon of June 8th, following the official welcoming ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul held talks.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung welcomed the Prime Minister of Thailand on his first official visit to Vietnam and expressed his pleasure at meeting the Thai Prime Minister again after the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, Philippines.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul affirmed that Thailand always values and wishes to continue promoting comprehensive and substantive cooperation with Vietnam in all fields. He expressed his hope that both sides would effectively implement the results of the visit to Thailand by General Secretary and President To Lam, including the action plan for implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2026-2031.
The two Prime Ministers expressed satisfaction with the strong development of Vietnam-Thailand relations over the past 50 years, assessing that the relationship between the two countries is currently in its best phase ever, with a solid foundation of political trust, dynamic economic cooperation, and increasingly close people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides agreed to strengthen political trust and cooperation in defense and security; maintain joint maritime patrols; coordinate efforts to combat transnational crime, especially drug trafficking, human trafficking, and high-tech crime; and reaffirmed their commitment not to allow any individual or organization to use their territory against the other.
Economically, the two leaders agreed to effectively implement the "three connections" strategy; promote connectivity in transportation, logistics, aviation, and tourism; and research the development of road and coastal waterway transport routes connecting the two countries and the Mekong sub-region. Vietnam and Thailand will also reduce trade barriers, facilitate access for goods to each other's markets, and strive to achieve the target of $25 billion in trade turnover and aim for $50 billion in a balanced and sustainable manner.

The two countries are promoting expanded cooperation in agriculture, ensuring food security, and in new areas such as science, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital economy, green economy, just energy transition, and innovation.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung stated that Vietnam always welcomes, encourages, and facilitates foreign investors, including those from Thailand, to invest and do business in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister of Thailand highly appreciated Vietnam's investment and business environment. He thanked and hoped that the Vietnamese Government would continue to pay attention to and support the removal of difficulties for Thai businesses operating in Vietnam. He shared that he would encourage Thai businesses to expand investment in areas where Vietnam has strengths and aligns with its development orientation, and expressed his wish for Vietnamese businesses to increase investment in Thailand.
Both sides agreed to strengthen people-to-people exchanges, cultural and tourism cooperation, and sister city relationships.
The Thai Prime Minister highly appreciated the significance of cooperation between the two countries in the red-crowned crane conservation project at Tram Chim National Park. Thailand is ready to transfer red-crowned cranes from Thailand to Vietnam for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

Regarding regional and international issues, the two Prime Ministers agreed to continue close coordination within ASEAN and multilateral mechanisms; emphasized the importance of maintaining ASEAN's solidarity, unity, and central role; and promoted ASEAN's common stance on the South China Sea based on international law...
The two Prime Ministers affirmed their determination to effectively implement the agreements reached, further developing the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a deeper, more substantive, and effective manner.
Vietnam has always valued and prioritized the development of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Thailand.
Also this afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the important significance of the Thai Prime Minister's visit, which follows the success of the recent visit to Thailand by General Secretary and President To Lam, becoming a driving force for Vietnam-Thailand cooperation. Vietnam always values and prioritizes the development of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Thailand.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated that the two countries have a close and long-standing cooperative relationship. Thailand was once the place where President Ho Chi Minh lived and carried out revolutionary activities, and many generations of Vietnamese people have lived and worked successfully in the northeastern provinces of Thailand, serving as a bridge of friendship between the two countries.
Thailand has always valued its comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam. The Thai Prime Minister hopes that the Vietnamese National Assembly will support the promotion of increasingly substantive and effective bilateral relations.


The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in relations between the parliaments of the two countries.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, promote the role of friendship parliamentary groups, foster exchanges between female parliamentarians, young parliamentarians and specialized agencies of the two countries' parliaments, and enhance the sharing of legislative and oversight experiences.

The Speaker of the National Assembly expressed his hope that the Thai government would continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Thailand to actively participate in economic and social life and become an important bridge for friendship between the two nations.
