BlackPink has released the BlackPink world tour concert film Born Pink in cinemas at CGV theaters in over 110 countries, including Vietnam.
According to Box Office Vietnam data, after one day of release, the film grossed 1.5 billion VND with 9,504 tickets sold and 370 screenings. As of August 10th, the film had a total revenue of over 5 billion VND.

Filmed on the final day of the Born Pink tour at Gocheok Sky Dome (Seoul), the film cleverly combines performances from major cities around the world to recreate the explosive energy of a live show.
The stage design was inspired by hanok tile patterns, subtly mimicking traditional Korean architecture and highlighting BlackPink's distinctive style.

The film is staged more like a Broadway musical than a regular concert. Every note, movement, and facial expression of the artists is meticulously and vividly captured. Notably, the Born Pink concert in Hanoi also appears in several scenes.
Each member's solo stage showcased their individual personality and aesthetic sense. In particular, Lisa, as a rapper, maintained her charisma even when appearing on screen.
It can be said that the combination of elements, from stage design to filming techniques, creates a rich visual experience, allowing viewers not only to enjoy the music but also to truly feel the atmosphere of a live BlackPink performance.

The script is outdated and doesn't focus on the audience.
Expected to be as impressive as Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Movie and BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas, BlackPink's concert movie's script and production style are somewhat outdated.
The film takes a traditional approach, focusing on recording performances. The audience only notices changes in the scene based on the artist's characteristics, such as their costumes.
On the other hand, although the group showcases synchronized performances in concerts, the repetition diminishes their initial appeal.

It would be more interesting if BlackPink's film included more behind-the-scenes footage. Because if it only shows the live performances, it would be a shame for the audience who attended the concerts beforehand.
When watching Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, it's clear the film puts the audience first; you can hear the cheers of the crowd clearly, but they don't drown out the singer's performance.
Similarly, BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas also moved viewers with its chemistry, the sweat, the choked-up tears, and the arm-in-arm gestures... BlackPink's film, however, merely recreated a concert, nothing more.

BlackPink's Born Pink World Tour ran from October 2022 to September 2023, visiting 34 cities with 66 concerts, achieving great success such as selling out 100% of the shows; becoming the highest-grossing girl group tour of all time, surpassing the Spice Girls.
