Dear delegates, distinguished guests, relatives of lecturers and students of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, ladies and gentlemen, and people of Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province!

Today, in the atmosphere of the historic August autumn days, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are looking forward to the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024). I, along with the leaders of the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, and organizations and Thai Nguyen province, are very pleased to attend the Inauguration and Handover Program of the project to restore and embellish the National Monument of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, with the meaning of being the opening event of a series of activities towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Very happy and excited to attend this event, I sincerely send my best regards and congratulations to the delegates, distinguished guests, revolutionary veterans, and all the people.

Dear delegates, comrades and people!

As an outstanding journalist and founder of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism, President Ho Chi Minh always paid deep attention to promoting the great and sharp power of journalism, building and training a team of journalists to effectively contribute to the Party's revolutionary cause.

From that concern, 75 years ago, in 1949, in the Viet Bac War Zone, Uncle Ho directed the establishment of a Journalism School, naming the School after Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang - a patriotic scholar whom he highly respected because of his "extensive education, strong will, and high morality" , and at the same time, a great tree of courage and exemplary character of the patriotic journalism movement, the founder of the newspaper Tiếng Dân in 1927 to educate and promote patriotism, calling for solidarity to serve the Fatherland.

The establishment of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School is a special milestone in the history of revolutionary journalism in our country. From that simple school, the first journalism class contributed to forming the qualities, bravery, and capacity of many famous journalists who made great contributions to the cause of resistance and national unification, becoming precious bricks that built a solid foundation for Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.

With such important historical stature, on April 4, 2019, Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School was awarded a Certificate of National Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirming the attention of the Party and State to the preservation and promotion of heritage values ​​reflecting the formation and development process of the country's press.

Dear delegates, comrades and people!

I appreciate the Vietnam Journalists Association and Thai Nguyen province for their cooperation in renovating and embellishing the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School National Monument. The project inaugurated today deeply demonstrates the sense of responsibility, pride, and gratitude for the contributions of previous generations who have devoted themselves to the revolutionary cause of the Party, to the aspiration for national independence and freedom, and to the happiness of the people; at the same time, it honors the glorious tradition, noble mission, and great contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the struggle for national independence, national reunification, national construction and defense, and the implementation of innovation and international integration.

This is also an opportunity for us to review the heroic revolutionary tradition of the nation, the glorious history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, to gain deeper awareness and contribute more responsibly in promoting the healthy development of journalism and media to promptly meet the requirements of the new period with many new difficulties and challenges.

More than ever, the role of being the frontline force in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, being the "bridge" between the Party, the government and the people requires press agencies and journalists to constantly hone their qualities, capacity, mettle and professional ethics to do a better job of propagating the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, orienting public opinion, reflecting objectively, vividly and multi-dimensionally the realities of life, inspiring and spreading good things, resolutely criticizing and fighting against negativity, contributing worthily to the implementation of the goals of national and local development, building a clean and strong Party and political system.

Dear delegates, comrades and people!

Thai Nguyen is honored and proud to be a place with many historical and cultural relics, the place where many movements against French colonialism were initiated, typically the Thai Nguyen Uprising in 1917. The heroic history of the provincial Party Committee has been nurtured and passed down through many generations, each day adding to the tradition and spirit of the land and people of Thai Nguyen.

I believe that, along with many recognized national historical sites such as the ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Relic Site; Khuon Manh Forest Relic Site - where the Second National Salvation Army was established; Relic Site of the Youth Volunteer Team's Establishment; 27/7 Historical Relic Site - where Uncle Ho's Letter was announced on July 27 as War Invalids Day; Memorial Site for the heroic sacrifice of 60 Youth Volunteers of Company 915, Team 91 Bac Thai..., the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School National Relic Site will add another "red address" on the proud revolutionary heritage road in the place that used to be the "resistance capital", enriching the network of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots of the Viet Bac War Zone.

On this occasion, I propose that the provincial authorities, after receiving the handover of the Relic, closely and regularly coordinate with the Vietnam Journalists Association to carry out useful activities, exploit and effectively use the functions of the restored and embellished items to continue to preserve, conserve and promote the sustainable value of a national relic of great stature and sacred significance, which is a place connecting the history, present and future of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, meeting the needs of research, study, sightseeing and "back to the source" tourism of the People.

I also hope that, after this event, which is the opening of a series of activities towards the 100th Anniversary of the Birth and Development of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), all levels and sectors at the Central level and in Thai Nguyen province will continue to implement practical programs and plans to honor the glorious traditions, achievements and great contributions of the press throughout the revolutionary career; encourage, motivate and show gratitude to exemplary journalists and press agencies with outstanding achievements; foster pride in the professional mission and love for the profession among today's journalists, contributing to building a "professional, humane and modern" press and media in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
